Don't buy V2 if you can get V3. By the time you buy all the parts for the upgrade, you have spent as much, if not more than the V3s and you still have a heap of work to do.Any US sellers that are selling the Mags? V2 or V3?

Back then, inverters were about 50mm square. They had no choice than an external pack.Has anyone ever thought about constructing a similar control box like the screen used pairs used?

Just do it.Ok.... going to have to break down in the new year, read this whole thread to find the best sellers, and finally buy a pair of V3.
V2's though run around $200 compared to the V3's $450 and I think only a few sellers have them. Or the HC ones which all you need is the Mark Poon upgrade kit and your still under $200.
Mainly I'm looking for a half decent mag for a cosplay without breaking the bank.
I'm sure a genuine inverter from that time would be difficult to find. I was just curious if anyone has thought about making a similar box for authenticity lol.Back then, inverters were about 50mm square. They had no choice than an external pack.
Given my grail is to have screen accurate MAGs, I might consider replicating the box, even it is not functional.I'm sure a genuine inverter from that time would be difficult to find. I was just curious if anyone has thought about making a similar box for authenticity lol.
Probably won't be too difficult since all the electronics are outside of the shoes. Just have to feed the wires from that singular cable into some sort of connection on the box. I'm guessing each shoe had it's own box since there doesnt seem to be another plugin on that box for another cable.Given my grail is to have screen accurate MAGs, I might consider replicating the box, even it is not functional.
I would assume that. I heard that the inverters were what made his pockets look blocky. I assume the wires went up his legs and into the pockets from the back side to hide them.Probably won't be too difficult since all the electronics are outside of the shoes. I'm thinking the one box supplied both shoes given there seems to be 2x 9v batteries inside the case.Probably won't be too difficult since all the electronics are outside of the shoes. That is certainly a good theory. Makes sense that two pockets, two power packs and two shows.I would assume that. I heard that the inverters were what made his pockets look blocky. I assume the wires went up his legs and into the pockets from the back side to hide them.
Then the cable might just split and we just dont see the other part stuffed in the shoe. My theory for the purpose of the other switches is to turn on the LED rows one at a time or possible different flashing sequences.I'm thinking the one box supplied both shoes given there seems to be 2x 9v batteries inside the case.
There seems to be the main power switch and some (3?) other controls . I wonder what purpose they served?
Maybe give we never see yellow or red illuminated on screen. Then the cable might just split and we just dont see the other part stuffed in the shoe. My theory for the purpose of the other switches is to turn on the LED rows one at a time or possible different flashing sequences.
