Obi-Wan Kenobi Ep3 boots

Hello there.
I bought my Obi-Wan boots Ep1 style from MotorCowboy last year. I want to buy the new ones ( the ones from Ep3) and I really do not know how accurate MotorCowboy are doing them. Does anybody know something about them? I will really appreciate your help.

Hey Kyle, from what we have seen of the actual boots, the ROTS boots are simply the same ones from TPM and AOTC with just the straps and loops removed...

Primrodo, But if you see them, ROTS boots have a strip in the back that runs vertically. Ep1 boots did not have it.

or am I wrong?

My boots were Motorcowboy's prototypes. I haven't looked really closely at them since that time. Mine were a really red shiny leather that I had to dye darker and sandpapered them. I also recall that the front spat didn't extend far enough down on the toe and wasn't broad enough if I remember correctly. However, I was in a hurry for C3, so beggars can't be choosers.

Derek,
I hate to buy something in a hurry. This is why I am looking 4 advice. I guy sent me an email 1 month ago talking me about the prototypes boots. He did a lot of modifications to get them accurate and said that Jim updated the boots. So, right now they should be right. They are 449 dollars in his site and 389 on eBay. So is worth to spend some money and save a few bucks. But I do not know if there is another option or dealer, do you know what I mean? I need them for my WEDDING on December, so I have time to think about it. :)
Thanks 4 take the time to write here.

Well then since you have plenty of time, you should be able to get plenty of pictures from him to put your mind at rest. They are the best around, and likely the only choice as well.

Did you notcice the strip that runs from bottom to top at the back of the boot?

Have you thought of working with a pair of riding boots and assemblnig a pair yourself and having new soles put on? You might save money that way and be able to ensure your own personal level of accuracy. Just a thought.

Riding boots in Argentina are about 300 dollars. They are very expensive. If I have to work on them probably will spend money and time, and for me time is money. Expending 389 will save me time. In the other hand I vouch for the quality of Jim boots. My only problem is the accurary, not the money. Thanks for your thought.

I just did a couple of SW boots for a customer recently:

Though, because they are not exactly vintage style, I haven't added them to my clothiers site: www.magnoliclothiers.com

The Obi-wan boots have leather soles, while the others have thick rubber treads as the originals. They are only $395 each (shipping anywhere in the world included). :D

Let me know what you think...

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Sorry... Didn't see it before today. :$ I may have some more photos in the future, but that's all for the moment. If anyone wants any other custom boots, drop me a line to discuss details.

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Sorry I wasn't clear earlier. I got that paid of boots made for a friend, and the boots have been sent to Australia. I use a boot maker who's an oldtimer and he don't have a website, nor does he know how to use the internet. He deals only through phone and fax.

I can help place an order if anyone's interested. I've devised a simple diagram for measurement taking, so fitting shouldn't be a pronblem. All I need are detailed pics. My boot maker specialises in silverado boots, riding boots and law enforcement boots.

The back of the boots has one seam running from top to bottom. No loop for the leather band. The zipper is hidden under the tongue in front, and one side of the tongue is permanently stiched to the boot, while the other side closes with velcro.
