Obi Mini Saber Display

I've got a ton of these mini scaled lightsabers. So I decided to create some displays and thought I would share some Kodaks...

Obi Episode 3 & 4

Looks nice... I've never been able to come up with a great way to show off the entire collection. Lining them up on shelves isn't the answer. Can this hang on the wall?

Yes, this will go on the wall into a shadowbox. I figured that I would break them down by character. I have the Hallmark Star Wars figures to go inside with the sabers. That's Obi-Wan Kenobi circa A New Hope. I have the other Obi-Wan Kenobi circa ROTS but his stance and Jedi robe flare out too much to fit without trimming it down some.

I had to trim Darth Vaders cape to make him fit..

Original Darth Vader display (gonna change this to the larger shadowbox as done with Obi)...

I'm waiting on some small clear rubber bands to arrive. I will secure the sabers to their respective bases with the bands and then hang them on the wall.

Note: Wal-mart sells the replacement mirror in the automotive section for $7...

The shadowboxes are from Michael's for about $11 (after sale) for the large and $9 for the small. They are always 40% off. They come silver, I repaint them gloss black. I use them for displaying weapons mostly. They are perfect for blasters..

It also make it easy to design the wall so everything looks aligned and such. I'll post a new pic once I'm done...

Make a leather belt. Hang it on the wall. Hang the sabers from the belt.

Both Obi and Anakin pre-sets are done..

Gotta make another Episode III poster to replace the Episode I since the sabers are all Ep 2 & 3...

I think I have 35 or more of these..

I'll most likely combine some (i.e. Sidious, Maul, and Dooku) and (i.e. Mace, Yoda, etc).
Depends on the number of sabers.

Putting the blasters up like that would not work for me because I would be constantly breaking the glass to get at them. :lol

The one thing I would say is to switch the Obi figures, so the ROTS one is under the ROTS poster, and the ANH one is under the ANH poster... but still, nice job.

Young Obi's cape was interfering with the COA. I had to trim it down so he would fit behind the glass. It would be easier to swap the posters. Thanks!
