I'd just like to add that your tutorial was very thorough and helped me greatly in making my own paracord whips. The first one I made was based on an Australian four-strand cow whip which is designed for tapered leather and didn't work so well for paracord.

However your design taught me everything I needed to know to make a really good second whip, though I must admit I had to change it to a 10-strand overlay instead of an 8 then 12 to save money on the cord. But I had a nice 16 strand checkboard handle and it cracks beautifully.

Sad to hear someone's profitting from your work. Great work though.

Unfortunately as he has requested that no-one share that information I think you will be hard pressed to find someone that will send it to you.

The folks here are pretty good at respecting those sort of requests.

OK, people.

A few months back I happened to notice that bullwhipcracker was online. I PM'd him & we exchanged some pleasantries.

I asked him about his website, & he said he had given it up, & let another maker have it. Without actually saying the words, it seemed like his modest (but rather lucrative) whip-making business had been accidentally scuttled by his awesome generosity here. He created his tutorial thread, & almost immediately the market was flooded with amateur whip-makers who undercut his prices (with whips that HAD to have been substandard to his experienced offerings) so severely that it was no longer profitable for him.

He tried to circumvent this by removing the content from the thread, but it was too late, & the damage had already been done. I told him that I (& as far as I knew, most of the other members) had respected his wishes & NOT made the tutorial available again.

He told me that if I still had the tutorial, that I could go ahead & offer it for download, because he "isn't making them anymore". I found the document on one of my back-up drives, & since I'm the one who took the content & created the .pdf file out of it, I felt a miniscule sense of ownership, & a large sense of responsibility/blame over what happened. So I held off posting it, while I contemplated all of this. BUT in the end, Ron was the creator/author of the thread, & if he's OK with it, who am I to say otherwise?

So, long story not too short, here it is:
