Limited Run NuBSG Cylon Helmet/Head 1:1 UPDATE IN POST 17&18

The finish in my pics has blackened accents airbrushed on. The purple tint is VERY subtle. It's a "less is more" situation.

The plain silver version won't have any reflectivity. It'll look like the statue replica, but I'll still put the automotive gloss on it.

Got it. Thanks. The reflectivity and accents make the helmet pop and gives it some life! The pics are gorgeous! That's one of the things so depressing about the Fred Barton model, it looks a little too much like a large scale kit built model that I painted myself with Testors. No silver finish for me.

I love your write that comment of spousal separation had my laughing out loud. The delay was caused b/c I thought GF was going to send notification to the RPF mail box. I the. Realized let me check my paypal n boom the invoice was there. I would have paid even earlier if I was told "Hey check your paypal for invoice"...LOL. At least I will know for next time.

Checked Paypal but it's a "no" on the invoice. It's no big deal either way, I was just hoping to transfer the money this weekend. I'm sure GF's busy and I don't want to be busting his chops about it either.

I can't believe how great your helmet looks. The detailing and the way the light hits it is really impressive. The pictures likely don't do it justice. I can't wait to see it in person. I toyed with the idea of trying to finish/paint it myself, but by the look of yours, I'm way happier that a professional is in charge.

The pic of your helmet above has his email address at AFXprops.com on the invoice sheet, so I might just throw him an email there or send money via Paypal to that address.

The Viper/Raptor helmet are definitely on my list to do. Cylons first [emoji5]️
Sunkist should be getting the collar model within the next couple days. The neck model is done and just needs fine tuning. I'll be adding other parts of the Cylon (i.e. Shoulders, mid section, arms, etc...) in the coming months. Only because I want a full size Cylon, but if anyone else wants in, let me know. First Earth Cylon is still getting fine tuned. Watch for pics coming soon.

U87 Caprica version is still being considered.

U87 was always a personal project, way too many parts to even consider casting. Print and assemble. First Earth Cylon too, however that is a piece that can and should be in a run if the interest is there.

Well first I got my Cylon helmet a few days back but didn’t get a chance to write a review. Well guess what!! HERE IT IS!.....


The Cylon helmet is truly amazing in design and craftsmanship. Nothing was held back no corners cut nothing. You can see it in the rich details frontal the lines, indentations, brow lines, different angles. If I didn’t know any better I say it was screen used! There is also a little weight to it nothing that will throw you off balance. However, it does fit with comfort. It tends to get a little hot, but hey there is way to resolve that. If you thinking cosplay. You better get a handler b/c the field of vision only goes so far left or right. I truly love it huge thanks go out to Sunkistshark and Reel! Truly a beautiful piece.


Alright review for the painting on the helmet. Before i jump in here General Frosty is truly a man about details and perfecting his craft. Like many Artisans here which i purchase from. He has earned a patron for life. The painting here done on the Cylon helmet is FANTASTIC!! How do i know?? Easy i took it out and wore it for photos out by my garage. I wanted to take it with the sun out there beaming. Heck my wife said i had scratched it and when she walked up to check it. She said never mind it was just a reflection looks bad ass! Well hell i got scared for a second. The metal paint looks SUPERB. From the photos you can see how the sun hits it in certain areas and boom shine while in other parts of the helmet. It looks as though it is a different shade even darkened. I also love the soft subtle color accent as well. The details all around just POP! It has a new look like this Cylon just step off the assembly line. TIS SHINY CAP'N!! If anyone has any props or kits or for that matter a Cylon helmet that requires finishing. Don't get stuck on the fence send it to General Frosty for finishing YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Thank you all from Sunkistshark, Reel and General Frosty hats off to all you for one EPIC undertaking.
