As you can see, perfect detail capture.

Would have been perfect on this one too, except that the front seems to have been pushed in, possibly due to the part not being 100% in the right position.

I am going to have to make a new jig as the bend is not enough.

So as I mentioned, I made an inner wing part and curved that. The part looks good bent. To do it properly might require a new base plate be made as well with the proper curves so the curved parts just fit.

Yeah probably. My car is manual. What I did notice is that I don't sit in the seat and swing my legs. I tend to step in, and I am guessing this places huge stresses on the left shoe (right hand drive car).

Yeah, that plus the constant flexing/un-flexing from pressing the clutch would make for a stressed sole.

No doubt there. My wife is constantly reminding me that these are "costume shoes" and maybe she has a point. Considering what these V2s have been through over the last (almost) 3 years, I am amazed they are in as good a condition as they are. Most of my real NIKE/JORDAN shoes have shown much worse wear for the same time.

do you think the curve on the inner wing is a bit too much ? i feel like it should have less of a curve.I've tried that method a member showed me where i dremeled the midsole and the inner outrigger piece only needs a slight curve and the bottom piece only needs it slight too, these still look amazing though!

Hey Mark, do you think that these sides will fit the other soles that I have already, if I trim the bottom piece? I would love to get these new side pieces.

Brad, they should fit. However being a larger size may cause the sides of the outrigger to flare out more. I am actually wanting that for my own shoes. Most will want the slimmer, more accurate shape. I still think that because of the many over sized parts of these that an oversized sole just helps balance out the look.

I want to upgrade all the molds. It is just the old time and money thing again, so starting with a part I can use right away.

It is just a tester. Looking at my own shoes, I would probable just cut in to the ends and round off what is there. Then the small inner wings should sit flush but bulge out in the middle giving the look we want. I hope anyway. I will mix a cheap resin and run a full sole mock up soon and posts the results.

I would also be wanting to do something similar, the wings on my version 1 of your soles ripped and so i would want to take them off completely and possibly put your new versions on in their place.

So were they the one piece versions?

cavx have you tried to make your soles icy by sanding them with 2000 or 1000 grit sandpaper?

Hi there, I'm looking for a place to get the small inverter for a 3V coin battery pack.
Is there anyone who knows where to get some ?

+ I re-post my questions about EL (in case I can gather more info) : I might go for some EL modifications...
• Where would be the best place to find some EL sheet for cheap ?
• What inverter and battery pack are the best and the smallest ?

About the EL inverter, the smallest I know is the one from the shopping list (page 58) but it's for a 9v setup.

Not really. What I did notice with my current pair is that after using the dremil to take off the flashing, I ran them under the high pressure hose and they kind of went frosted. Still clear, but lost that "water clear" look they had prior. That plus the white I have behind mine gives them a pretty neat look.

Notice it looks more whitish than clear?

Went to Footlocker today to check out the latest kicks and found some interesting Jordans and NIKE shoes that have taken their design pretty much directly off the MAG.

Here is a JORDAN that caught my attention. There is no seam up the back, so this upper is all one piece with a single seam on the instep. On this pair, the seam is quite close to the front of the laces, but on another pair NIKE shoes, the seam was dead centre of the laces as well have having a seam up the back Both shoes have a perfectly clean toe and no additional seams, just both shoes were not really "hi-tops". Mid high at best.
The only part I didn't really get on these shoes was the lack of support in the heel, yet these did not have a sock toe, rather a toe box. Surely something molded would work to give support at the heel. The NIKE shoes have quite a neat molded thing on the back with the classic NIKE AIR logos. Should have snapped photos of them.
There was a 3rd pair that had a lace cover like the recent STOMPERS from Reebok or older Jordan XX (which is also based on the same pattern).

I think those shoes are designed by Tinker Hatfield who also designed the Nike MAG.
