I can't remember who did it, but they cut along the top seam, then folded and glued the vinyl into the slot. They ended up with a shape the same as you have and no visible cut line. Something I am not prepared to do myself.
Would your new buckles fit a size 8? And I mean if the upper was the right height because I know the V2s are shorter.

The look good on US8.
This is the master part on my pair of US8 display shoes.
Given these are the same size (overall footprint), they could probably be used on all sizes from US8 to US13.
I am doing several pairs of white and will do a few pairs of black (for any black MAG owners).
And here is a better pics of them on my shoes.
The top image was captured holding the shoe in the light path of my projector whist projecting pretty much a white field (how dumb was that guy that put is i-Phone 6 into expanding foam?). The projectors white light is D6500K, so as close to "daylight" as any artificial light can be. The 2nd is top lit in the dark to enhance the detail.

True. That is why we have collectively contributed to modding of the V2s.
Here's my question, is Nike still planning to release the 2016 Mag ? they said spring 2016 am I correct ? or are they planing something bigger than an ebay auction ? We as a group collectively decide around March or April should be the auction, But why haven't nike made an announcement yet?
I was thinking about this as well. I am certain that Nike will NOT release these as a general sale. They will stick to the auction. I imagine that they are just planning it a little bit better this time and will make an announcement when they have the shoes done. It will be interesting to see how many pairs they actually make and how quickly the shoes break after people start wearing them.
My guess is that they will jip the community again and only make like 85 pairs to correspond with the year 1985 as some stupid reference.
Yes,that does make a lot more sense that nike will try to make this a lot better than the last, I make a few more than 1,500 pairs unlike the last time even thought this is considered a "limited release" or they could make even less pairs than the last time.

LOL that would never happen. Even if they did the first 1000 as power laced and the 1015 balance as eleastic, it would be asking too much.
