Nike Mag V2 Mod Discussion (Page 58 Shopping List)

Does anyone know if the V2 MAGs fit a size big? I asked Joanna Steven and she said that her shoes are normal size, but I've read a lot of feedback comments saying that they fit a size big. However, some people say they fit just right, and someone who ordered size 13 MAGs even said they were almost too small...

Can anyone help me out? I'm a little confused right now... :unsure

Honestly I think they only make three sizes then label them with whichever size they want. I have read stories of them being to small, to big and just the right size. That's my opinion.

Hi there!

I'm kinda new to the RPF, although I have been reading threads on replica Nike Mags for a while now, and I have decided to finally to try my hand at modding a pair of Nike Mag replicas. I have watched tutorials on how to flatten the toe box and how to change the lights to EL sheets etc. However I still need some guidance on the electronic parts mainly. I really wanted to watch jedifye's tutorials as he is the best from what I have heard. However he has since deleted many of his videos to my disappointment. So I was wondering if you could perhaps give some instruction on how to do install the EL Sheets, install a new set of heel lights and how to make the Nike Strap light up? It would mean the world to me! I have emailed a few people off YouTube and this forum such as Cavx and they have been a massive help to me! Below I will link the shoes I was thinking of getting plus an image of the shoes the seller has provided. Thank you all for reading!

I have also found a pair by Karin Cheng, who has been talked about by a lot of people on this forum. Would someone mind checking them out and giving me their opinion on them? Thanks.

Hey everyone, just an FYI about my tutorials. Seems that YouTube feels that my tutorials are a trademark or copyright infringement and have pulled a few of my videos. I'm not sure how I infringed on the trademark but it might be because of the replica nature. Not sure though.

Anyway, I may do other tutorials that won't show the NIKE logo's....but it may be a while, so please don't email me asking when. Thanks!

Thank you for all your replies! My shoe size is US 9.5 (for Nike SBs) and 10 (for Vans shoes). What size would you advise me to buy V2s?

Finally got around to rigging this up.

So there are two types of EL sheet. The expensive stuff is white off and colour when on.
The cheaper stuff is pink off and a colour on.

So what I have done here is to use white contact adhesive to change the EL sheet (just a portion in these photos) to change the sheet to white off/white on, then laid my LED bubble filter over the top.

The sheet is an A5 being powered by 3V right now, so not the brightest it can be. Also the fact sheet is full size taxes the power per square unit, so once these are cut, they will be brighter even on a 3V system and really bright on a 9V.

Unfortunately they're not really 900mah. If you open the 9v you'll find 2 x 3.7v flat lithium batteries run in series rated at 500mah. They also never charge up to 9v. They max out at 8.4v and drop from there.

Those are probably your best option. These batteries do have circuit protection in them so they should be safe from over / under charging & over current.

You can buy just the flat 3.7v lithium batteries with protection built in and run them in series. Just like these rechargeables 9vs. The problem is they get considerably larger over 500mah.
