How bright are the "leds" in real life ???Just made up my new EL test kit for an all EL system.

This EL is white, so can't be used in the final system. What I want to test is exactly how long a system like this can run.

Hey everyone, just an FYI about my tutorials. Seems that YouTube feels that my tutorials are a trademark or copyright infringement and have pulled a few of my videos. I'm not sure how I infringed on the trademark but it might be because of the replica nature. Not sure though.
Anyway, I may do other tutorials that won't show the NIKE logo's....but it may be a while, so please don't email me asking when. Thanks!
I'm confused. In certain circles, it is well known that 9V batteries have a very short run time (mAh/milliamp hours/milliampere hours) when compared to say, one 3.7V lithium-ion battery of a AAA size. Today's 5mm and 3mm LEDs are extremely energy efficient and take a lot less than 9 volts to run and only use up about 20 mA (milliamps) of current each (not to be confused with milliamp hours, totally different thing). EL runs off AC current, thus the need for an inverter. All that said, It's seems unlikely that EL would offer longer run times than LEDs. Has this been thoroughly tested to be proven conclusive, one way or the other, in regard to the V2 shoes?

Loving this idea! - Are you just using coloured filters for the 'led section'? does it work well?
You can buy just the flat 3.7v lithium batteries with protection built in and run them in series. Just like these rechargeables 9vs. The problem is they get considerably larger over 500mah.
If you run them in series it would multiply the voltage for a total of 7.4v If they are 500mah batteries then they would remain 500mah batteries.
Running in series multiples voltage and the MAH stays the same.
Ok, before anyone goes chipping in for the $700 from gogoyeezy let me find out if the company will actually ship anything. I've made my 'test order' with them this morning. I'll update you guys when the shoes arrive (or if they don't but lets hope not). Then we can feel a little more secure about ordering from them.
Does anyone have a PDF or diagram for wiring everything together?
Have you had any shipping confirmation yet or any word whatsoever on what you ordered?
Here is something promising from Gogoyeezy regarding my test order before anyone orders the $700 MAGs from them (even the shared money buy in)
