Its a slow process, but I'm very happy with how this stuff is working :)

I guess it must be the uv exposure or the cleaning I've done to them, as you can see the ones that stayed in the box are fine. Pity.
Let me know if anyone else's is yellowing. Maybe that one came from a different batch of midsoles? Even though they both came at the same time. Had them since last year sometime.
Do you know if you can get Retrobrite on the net, or did you have to go to a particular store? I've got a few shoes with clear on the soles I wouldn't mind trying it on if it works so well.

Make the retrobrite yourself, that's what I'm doing. All it takes is hydrogen peroxide, oxy clean, corn starch and glycerin.

I too have the Lumia 920 ;D

How do you like it? I had nothing but iPhones for 5 years before getting the 920. The only 2 apps I miss are MLB and SiriusXM. Love the look of the Windows OS, got tired of looking at the same home page on the iPhone year after year lol

Well I didn't really see much of a difference between sessions 3 and 4 so I believe I will stop treatment on this shoe. I'd like to limit uv exposure also. There's quite a difference from the other one, I'm happy.

WOW that clear looks great! Were you applying the Retrobrite to only the clear and not the grey sole? Because it looks like the grey is actually more tan on the right shoe than the left.

Yes I noticed that too and only to the clear part. I believe the sun has already started taking its toll on the gray part. Apparently these shoes just can't handle it. May try applying the retro to the gray part on the bottoms or maybe masking that area off. This is my first go at all this so I didn't know what it was going to do.

I know this completely off the topic, but in my defense it is Nike related. Finishing up my Terminator costume I decided to go ahead and do Reese as my next project, my problem lies in the nearly impossible chance of finding a pair of Nike Vandals worn by him in the film.

I decided to post this here because a lot of you folks are extremely talented and knowledgeable in customizing shoes. I'm curious if a very similar pair of Vandal's are bought, could there be a chance to customize them myself or save risk having someone with experience be hired to complete the task. This is my first time dealing with customizing anything but boots, so I'm not very knowledgeable about what can and can't be done in customizing sportswear shoes.

Once again, I'm sorry this is off topic but didn't think I should jam the forum with a new thread over a question like this. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I love it a lot. I've tried them all. iPhone, Android, then Windows and Windows really worked for me. Never looked back.

hey guys I saw cavx's post about the yellowing of the midsoles and thought I'd investigate.
So, dug out the box where I stored my 2nd pair of V2's and.....View attachment 204634
On the left is the one that stayed in the box (bought 2 at the same time, saved the one with the better splatter)
I have washed the pair I wear a few times with detergent and water (scrubbing dirt etc out of the sole, mostly, so it's not all through the house) - maybe that has caused the reaction? Or just exposure to light, maybe.
Apologies for the blurriness of the photo, since the difference in colour is more pronounced when you don't use the flash, and that means I have to try and hold the camera still for longer.

there going to yellow no matter what. when and if you use the seaglow make sure you use tape and dont get it on the rest of the sole other wise it will disassemble. in the process of leaving the seaglow on the sole if you leave it out in the sun for 3 hours the results will last for a long time. as for the the paint i just use angelus show paint.

So the UV from the sun makes the soles yellow and to cure the anti-yellowing agent, we must leave our shoes in the sun.

Its amazing how fast the sun yellows these shoes. After about 4 hours in the sun I can see the difference. Its a bummer since I was hoping to actually wear my nodded pair once complete. Now, I just want to store them in a dark room lol

Hey Catfish looks great, can you give me the name of the exact product you bought (retrobright?) and where in order to make your outsoles clear?

Also can I see some pictures of the side of the clear outsole where the EL light arcs shine through...thanks!

Catfish/Cavx - I will try to find the time this weekend to use the fabric and leather dye (light grey) on a patch of my yellowed V2 midsoles and see if it helps. The product looks much more promising than paint, which would flake or at the very least wrinkle at certain points if worn. (thanks for the tip on where to get it, cavx)
yes, I know, if I have to re-coat the midsoles I'll have to re-spatter them too....

Hydrogen peroxide, isn't that the stuff used to bleach hair? I would think that alone (making sure it is washed off properly later) would do the trick to whiten these soles.
