Anywhere on the negative terminal on the DC jack will do the trick, I solder to the circle though so I get more surface area for a better contact point.

The connectors you see there are ones I got from work, they were free

I only linked the eBay ones in my shopping list because I thought it was easier and it helps anyone searching.

I'd like to see someone have cloneprops's ankle buckles and heel cups on these. That would would achieve these shoes' maximum potential in terms of modding.

AFAIK, cloneprops has not added Heel Cups to his shapeways store yet. last time I visited, there was Ankle Buckles (which I own), the mini MAG (complete left shoe in 4cm, 6cm and 8cm) and the DeLorean base stand. The Heel Cups he has for sale are from the rubber casts he did when he made his first pair. They are great, but for his shoe size ONLY and why I didn't buy them.

I know all that. And I think once he sells all of the heel cups he has now that he will put them on shapeways where you can choose your size. That's just a guess though. But unless you have the time, skills, and money to mold and cast them in whatever cloneprops uses or something similar, I think people will just use them for display.

Possibly. His current stock are made for US9, so all you guys with small feet need to buy them so those of us with larger feet can get the 3D print inn larger sizes :angel

so I got the thin 9v inverter from coolight.com and with a fresh 9v battery it will not illuminate a 5"x6" el sheet. Is this normal since its such a small inverter?

Yes. Cut the sheet down to the size and shape for the shoes and it should work.

Jedi: are you using a hair dryer to separate the sole from the midsole? If so have you tried a heat gun vs the hair dryer?

Yes hairdryer. I don't have a heat gun.

Jedi: are you using a hair dryer to separate the sole from the midsole? If so have you tried a heat gun vs the hair dryer?

I've used a heat gun before (on other projects, not these shoes), and I'd go with a hairdryer for this. Heat guns are crazy powerful.

Did any one try the rit dye, i noticed upon heating one side of the sole the clear has now become more tinged to a yellow, the otherside seemed to require less heat to come away and has retained its original clear colour with the slight blue tinge from the colouring on the greysole

Unless I am missing something and if I am, please post a link, I think his small Ankle Buckle were for the size US 8 and 9. Mid was for 10 and 11 and larger for 12+. I have not seen his Heel Cups on his site yet and I am hoping he puts them up soon. I have his mid size Ankle Buckle and it is an awesome part. I NEED Heel Cups

Actually, I messaged cloneprops about this about 5 days ago. He doesn't sell the small size because they were too small even for 8s and 9s. The medium ones should work fine on those sizes.
