Fourthed. If you want the shoes, you have two options:

1. Buy them and mod them yourself.

2. Buy them and have someone else mod them for you.

If you won't/can't do number one, you don't have much room to judge the value of the time and talent it takes to pull off 2.

As I said before, learn the skills. Once you have that point of reference you'll have a whole new respect for the work Brad and others do and recognize just how much value for money you're getting out of a modding service.

...but remember, number 1 is always an option, and if you screw up, you might not have shoes anymore. So read through the thread again, and if there is something specific you don't understand, quote the post and ask for clarification, we are a community that loves sharing information almost as much as we love making sure our artisans are compensated for their work.

DL4567, it looks like you're going with Taff's rechargeable setup :) But if you order the LEDs from his shopping list then you don't need any resistors. Unless those LEDs are 12v then you're fine. Also there are smaller switches you can buy that won't pop out nearly as much as the ones you have. Refer to the list.

Also, the fabric wants to kink on the inner side when pressing the material down. I know the theory is that the fabric stays in place and the rubber sole comes up to meet the fabric, but either way I get that kink. You can see on the first shoe it did the same thing but not as bad, and while slightly wrinkly the glue is holding it fairly flat. I'm not so sure the 2nd one will come out as well. If you guys with lots of toe slimming experience could give me your thoughts I'd really appreciate it.

Try separating more of the upper from the midsole on that side.

Photo updates!!
Everyone at home agrees that the sole looks a lot better with the EL Panel.

I've decided to make the strap detachable by using 2 way wire connectors. I don't want to hard wire it and then realize I made a mistake somewhere.

I wish some people realized the amount of time and talent it takes to do this. Not so easy.

I'm so excited to order my pair next week. Is poor build quality very common? Also when I look at the diagram i notice there are 4 wires coming from the right side of the inverter. Do you just solder more wires to the inside or what? And on the actual inverter picture from where you order them, the left side seems to have 2 negative wires, but in the diagram there's both a positive and negative wire.

This has nothing to do with the MAGs, but I think this is still cool enough to post. So today I was in personal finance class and there are these two people who were together for a project. I knew the guy's name from another class, but not the girls because the teacher doesn't call out roll. The guy's name is Clayton and the girl's is Clara. Clara Clayton!!! And earlier today my girlfriend spotted a DeLorean. Today was just too weird. Destiny.

oh snap, you got me. LOL
no hard feelings. it's all good. :)

Totally. I can't get upset at someone's opinion. I hope you do get some of these and try your hand at modding them. There are WAY too many people who contact me daily asking for these to be modded. :thumbsup

Here is a little "up keeping" tip. Since the tongues on these are not leather like the real MAGS and the Velcro tends to snag the tongue a lot, I found that if you use a lint shaver, it removes the little snags and makes the tongue look virtually new.

Lint shaver:
