Here is a little "up keeping" tip. Since the tongues on these are not leather like the real MAGS and the Velcro tends to snag the tongue a lot, I found that if you use a lint shaver, it removes the little snags and makes the tongue look virtually new.

Simple, direct, and effective. Nice idea!

Much easier way to keep things neat and tidy than attempting to replace the tongue with a leatherette one...I feel like that process would involve a lot of cursing. :lol

Electric shaver will probably work here as well. I de-pilled a shirt with one once and it came up as if brand new.

If the Chinese put the loop part on the strap and hook part on the shoe, this might not even be an issue.

It makes me sad that they didn't get this right at the factory, because HOLY CRAP the factory glue/heat process is INSANE.

Looks really good. One question though: was a butterknife enough to detach the toebox from the sole or did you have to use a hairdryer, too? Thanks!

I found just a butterknife wasn't enough. Tried a hairdryer for a few minutes but it didn't help a whole lot. It did soften the rubber, but didn't seem to make the glue let go any easier -- maybe I didn't give it enough time but it felt pretty warm to me. I added a razorblade and mini flat-head screw driver to the mix. Just go carefully and be VERY patient.

Finally found a box for the charger, nearly there just the DVD and licence plate card to get

While browsing ye olde interwebs today, I found this post about a battery charging circuit that also shows the battery level through LEDs.

I thought some of the more electronically savvy members might be able to modify it to possibly achieve the holy grail of replica Mag charging: using the heel lights to show charging status.

Take a look, who knows what it might lead to: 12V Battery Level Indicator Circuit

Where can i buy wires locally? Wires and the two inverters are the last things I need.

I really love these 2 way connectors, especially the splitter. I now have a clean way to feed power to both Strap and Sole EL Panel.

My first stab at the LED board. Learning curve!
