Looks like a dirty old pair of genuine 2011's to me, but I agree about the puffy collar, and the fact that all the seasoned veterans on here aren't immediately dismissing them, I'll go along with it and be cautiously optimistic.

One thing I don't like is that they're already throwing around a price in the $700 neighborhood, just like all the scammers around the end of last year who were trying to sell "pre-orders."

If these turn out to be real then you know people will turn these right around and throw them on eBay for double or triple the cost. They will still be less than the real thing so I feel people will fall for it

What scares me is the fact that they don't seem to know what the final pricing is, so that price will probably only go up once these become available.

Yep some people are just in it for the chance to make a quick buck.

I had a look for these on Taobao, and the weird thing is that not only are they not there, but all mags have disappeared from the site. No V2's, no HC's, nothing. Possibly an indication that they are on the way if the factories are now only producing V3's.

Lets only hope. And $350 would be pretty freaking cool. I doubt that they will be that though. These are way nicer looking than the first images of the V2 back in late 2012.

Definitely possible. These are really well done.

I genuinely think that these will happen now, given that the guy doing them is known in the 'sneaker' world. Damn, I'll be saying aloominium next instead of aluminium..

I'll grab a pair ONLY if they have electronics to the quality of yours for example.

Does that mean that companies importing replica Mags into the US like HC and Xcoser, will have to import this V3 or nothing?

If that's the case, I wonder how much they'll charge.

So like the V3 is the only MAG? Hey I am all for that. As for price, I won't wear these anyway. Most likely get US7 and display them.

If that's what is happening, big "if" though.

I wonder if V2 prices will crash. I'd like to buy a pair of those while they are still around.

So V3 or bust on every site? Sounds good, but how many will scam and say "please wait 2 weeks for shipping" and have us out $600? Let's hope we get Karin Chen or another reliable seller to give us more info when the time comes :thumbsup

Perhaps.

I'm interested in seeing if HC's supply gets affected. If they import this, it will be in quantity enough to get a large price break. Meaning they can sell for lower price. However, it would also be non-branded.

My fear is a repeat of 2012. When the V2s first went up for sale, they were listed at $109USD. My CC was burning a hole in my pocket, so I placed an order only to get an email stating "you send more money, we send you shoes", as they jacked the price up to $250USD.

It will be a little more complex than that. The heel cups are a completely different part on the HC to what is on these shoes, so I don't think it is a case of just swapping them out to make them "non-branded" If HC do take on this shoe and do get a non branded version for less, I just hope they use non stitched straps. Those HC straps are basically a throw away even though the material they are made from is actually quite good.

I don't mean using the V2-style parts on this shoe.

The factories would likely just make a non-branded mold of the V3 cup for HC. Just like they made that non-branded V2-style cup for the current HC shoe.

If they had any foresight. They would import it with the EL in the strap and a clear window. Then people could just stick a NIKE logo on top of it.

Have the you seen a side by side of the HC and V2 heel cups? Very different parts.
The idea of a clear window is cool. Doubt that will happen though.
The point being, the HC was made to be more robust than the V2 because they knew more people would buy them at the lower cost. I don't see this new shoe being sold cheaper just for the sake of no branding.

Well this is strange, I refreshed my browser today and the search found. 16 pages instead of the 4 it brought up yesterday. Still sellers with V2's and HC's, even the Mag backpacks showed back up. Weird. No sign of V3's.

The fact the HC does have a no-branding cup shows that the factories can (and would) indeed make a non-branded part for a HC/V3 shoe. HC/V2 differences don't change that a bit.

If HC imported a V3 the discount wouldn't be merely because of no branding. It would be because HC buys thousands of pairs at a time, so they can sell them cheaper than anyone else. Which is exactly what they do. Granted the HC is obviously easier to produce than a V2, but not easy enough to justify having a retail price only 40% of the V2.
