not much of a choice for me because with these V2's being quite oversized even the smallest size is too big for my feet :$

if they did fit though I'd probably only wear them to select places like the cinema, though knowing my luck it'd rain and I'd end up getting an electric shock off them!

How do yours fit? What size do you normally take and what size v2's did you get? Thanks

ya Brad keep at least 2 or 3 and wear em. We've wanted them forever we deserve to wear em. enjoy them

Just wore them to Home Depot and had a worker there ( a woman) say "Those are bad ass shoes man".

I'm convinced to wear them. :thumbsup

they're comfy, I'm normally a size 7 and I got a 7.5 (there was a two week wait on the 7's) but they feel more like a 9 to me as there's a good 4cm gap between my toe and the end of the shoe.

so that's a UK 8.5 , going off my mags I'd say you'd be ok with a UK 7 or 7.5 though best to get others opinions as well on how well there's fit :thumbsup

That's what I was thinking. Another member suggested a 9.5 to be on the safe side. (there are no 9's in stock). So I just want to be certain for such a substantial (shoe) purchase... All help is appreciated guys!

I'm the same size as you, and the 8.5's I got fit great. I think getting a size lower than you would usually is a good rule of thumb with the V2's.

You really shouldn't solder directly to Li-ion battery like that. It's a very good way to weaken the battery and potentially have it fail. You may get away with it a few times but its not something you want to get into the habit of doing. Trust me from first hand experience they can start nasty little fires!


Also if anyone is actually changing the wiring/ adding wiring into the sole of the shoe make sure any wire that's going to be stepped on is of a decent gauge. Using 26 gauge and 30 gauge in shoe projects I have done will always fail. The wire itself will weaken and break in most cases over time.

Hi, do you have any pictures of the wire you have been using?

Which wire do you recommend to get?
is there a specific name for it, the type of strong wire to get which you are recommending?

i'm not sure what others like Jedifyfe and Taff83 have used, so when going to the shop, do we have to go to ask for something thats stronger than 30 gauge?

The nearest shop to me is Maplin.

Anyone in the UK know which wire to get which is going to be strong?
Is it standard black and red cables or is it something else to get?

if anyone knows, feel free to share, as this is the main aspect, if the wiring isn't strong, then the build is useless.

This may be a stupid question but what are you guys using to recharge the Li-Ion battery? What Are your thoughts on using an IPOD battery like this?

It's actually one of the white wires I believe.



Yes I used the Judco 987 switch. I kept it running out the back since there is no way to put it in the white part and have it look clean.

whats the type of Brownish coloured wire you have used in the back there? do they have a specific type of name when asking the shop?

and did you use the same wire throughout the rewiring process?

I'm trying to get all the correct materials first before doing anything.

also, if anyone can point me to any push button on off switches similar to the judco switches which are available in the UK, that would be great.

I'm surprised at the lack of decent push button switches in the shops.

whats the differnce between that 24g rca wire and normal 26 and 30 gauge wiring?

does anyone in the Uk have any recommendations over what wire to get?
and which place to get it from?
and which thickness of wire to get?
