I'm sure it doesn't make you feel any better, but a guy from a few years back "S02 customs" kept my Mark Poon mags I sent him. I never heard back from him once I sent him my shoes. It was like $50 in shipping plus the cost of the shoes. Live and learn. This time around I just modded my own and I was very happy with the results and felt very accomplished.

Well I'm putting in a claim through chase. I gave him a chance and I'm done playing games. Does any one know of a good source for v2s ? I need these shoes completed by august and I'm not sure I have the skill to do it my self :(

Also does any one know whof I should contact on the admin side of the rpf to file a complaint

Contact Montagar. Art is the owner of the RPF but doesn't deal with the sites day to day issues.

Did anyone have buckles like this that were stitched rather than glued? If so, how did you go about separating them to make the upgraded straps?

They're my friends, I only got the straps and buckle. I just assumed v2 but he just text me "Halloween?" He's a Sz 15 and I don't think v2 goes that high so ya , it must be HC.

A member local to me got V2s with a stitched HC strap. Not sure if that is going to be the "new" standard or not. I hope not.

Those look like the HC Mag straps. Are those HC mags or V2's?

Well both made in the same factory, hopefully only a small batch got mixed up.

Do your shoes have branding? Do you have a SWOOSH and NIKE MAG anywhere on the shoe?

I told my friend I'd convert the straps for him. Very basic upgrade. Then when I saw the stitch I wasn't sure where to start.

Start with a sharp knife or scissors and cut the strap off the buckle. Keep the buckle and throw the straps away and start again.

I figured it would come to that. I didn't really care for making my own straps on my pair. I really like the durability of those straps.

The V2 straps are quite well made. It is shame they went to the cheaper materials and stitching.

I have been playing around with 1.6mm Polypropylene and think it could work for a strap. Polypropylene is an interesting type of plastic. It can be bent and curved many times and not break. It can be heat fused (not so easy to glue) and won't fade or colour easy. It is cheap and easy to work and IMO way better than polystyrene like HIPS or ABS.

I'm gonna try to convert these straps for now. My friends not too worried about details. Personally, I couldn't sleep at night knowing I had a stitched pair. Thanx for the suggestions/help guys. And just for sheer pleasure, enjoy a few of my goodies. image.jpg
