Yeah it's very unfortunate. I'm super devastated....I was so looking forward to them. It hurt financially too as you can imagine. I even sent him my soles I bought from cavx, along with paid postage to and from.

Ughh...I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but lately I have had 3 separate instances within the last month or two where I pay for a prop and then that person falls of the face of the planet. I hope he comes back...I put in a paypal dispute hopefully that will get his attention. Will also try his youtube

Now that you mention it.
I noticed his instagram was blocking me the other day.

Hopefully you can get your shoes back.
 
Unfortunately this sounds like one of those instances where it's good to do your own mods, even if you just try practicing on $10 kmart shoes first even if it's not quite the same.
I guess there's a possibility something else happened, like what if he was in a car crash or something? Or maybe it's just me trying to be optimistic
 
Let's just start calling you Mr. Optimism now then. I was still hanging on hope too but you only hear from him once you put in the PayPal dispute, then unfortunately you learn that PayPal doesn't have protection against services (I'm learning that lesson the hardest way possible). Then you realize you're getting screwed on your v2's and whatever else you sent him also. BRUTAL!!

To paraphrase his email he basically said he was busy with work and other orders. Also he had a break in of some sort but didnt go into detail. He also said he'll have my shoes out "soon". Now I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt but I don't want to get screwed. And according to PayPal if I cancel the dispute I can't open another one in the future and therefore would have no recourse if another issue arrised. So I'm not sure what to do. He's asking me to cancel it cause it's holding up some funds of his I don't want to be a dick but I also don't want to get screwed. All I want is my modded v2s

How long ago did you send them?
 
I sent them late march early april. So hes had them for about two months which when I first spoke to him he said at the very latest it would take 2 months to finish them. I filed the claim more because of the lack of communication rather then the amount of time passed.
 
Yeah this guy got us good man. I sent him mine in late April. His story was that two other members' items got stolen along with mine.

Well if your items got stolen, he should pay you the cost of your shoes.
Did you pay him upfront for modifying?

I can understand two months to do the shoe if you are really busy but the lack of communication is really unnacceptable.

After I modified my first few pairs, I was able to do it in less than a few days with a maximum of a week to week and a half to do a fully modified pair sparing some hours in the evening and weekend.

Let's hope you can get your money back if they are saying the shoes were stolen. A bit hard to believe in my opinion. They should at least reply to you.

I don't believe it either. Yeah well he should pay but he hasn't. He did say he still had my soles and was going to buy replacement v2's and I would receive them in a week. Well now it's been a month and he doesn't respond to any texts emails or calls. Unfortunately I paid him up front for the modification. It's just truly disappointing and a very unfortunate situation. I should of known better, and did, but just really wanted my mags! Now I'm paying for it.....literally.
 
As expected paypal closed the dispute because they dont cover services (which is BS). I sent him another email last night and havent heard back from him If I dont hear from him I will be opening a dispute through chase.....

Idk I mean I really hope he fulfills what he promises but I sent him emails text messages and messages on the rpf. I find it hard to believe in this day and age he didnt check his phone or email for a whole month. And as soon as his rent is in peril he immediately messages me then once paypal closes the dispute he seems to have gone back to not responding again
