i know you upgraded your matty board back in February last year did you end up gluing the lenticular 3d face down or facing up i know that clock88s boards he glues it down so that the honeycombs indention is facing up i think you glued yours down facedown so that the indents are touching the board correct? ill be posting a quote with your pics in the hc hoverboard thread i dont want to be off topic here

That's right, I might put my lenticular material upside down, cause the effect was more efficient in my opinion.
Maybe I'll order some HC hoverboard to try another method and make some upgrade kits...

Yeah, fortunately they did. I'll post the details later when I get home. If you guys could refer any stores that would be great.

Well lets hope you get your money back and are able to get V2s from a more reliable source.

Those AliExpress sellers annoy me - every time I ask for pics they all send me the same pics (shoes on some brick color tiles). They are either lazy to snap pics or none of them have the shoes in their physical possession.

No they don't and why you NEED to confirm with them by email that they will have stock the stock BEFORE you place or card number on line. Which seller did you contact? I don't think I've seen the photo you describe.
@FreddyTV how is your GITD project going?

I captured this image yesterday at about 9:30am with a phone camera after giving the GITD a charge in full sun for about 1 minute.

If I were selling you authentic Nike Mags and you asked me for pics, would you be ok if sent you stock Nike pictures or would you rather a tagged pic taken by me?

So if I'm buying something for $230 I deserve the right to see proof that you (the seller) actually have the item in your possession. Preferably with a tagged pic- that's my logic.

Here is the link they sent me (I've asked several sellers for pics and they always show me the same ones)

I understand that there are many sellers and that is why I expect many pictures - not the same picture being shared by all of them. It's bad enough I'm willing to pay $200 + for a fake shoe that cost $30 to make. The least they can do is take some tagged pics if the buyer requests it.

You're confusing aliexpress with eBay these buyers are all selling the same v2 and try all order from te same v2 factory the defining factor on what seller you pick isn't if they can show you the shoe it's if they're a good seller check they're feed back check they're rating and pick the seller you trust when you order from Nike you don't get tagged pics you get a stock photo

Did you just compare an Ali Express seller to Nike? Common bro...

These sellers (or re-sellers?) don't actually own the stock they sell. They get your order and they place an order with the factory that supplies them and this why they don't show a tagged picture of every item they sell. Having been to China, most live in a room 1/4 the size of what we consider normal in the western world. They simply do not have the space to store stock much less be taking individual images in anything even remotely close to "studio" quality.

The reason you get the same picture is because your asking for a pair of V2s and well, this is a picture of a pair of V2s.

Even when you buy off eBay, as a general rule you get a "stock" picture of the item and not a tagged photo. The only times I have seen tagged photos being used for general sales if for those selling the RD MAGs.

I think you are probably too cautious in this situation.

Not all the sellers have the shoes on them.
They usually buy them from the factories after your order is placed.
Also, they are only making a small margin as the factory sets a high price on these.

I don't see the problem. Aliexpress is a far safer place to buy than ebay.

Ebay is a joke in comparison. There is a reason aliexpress killed ebay in China.
It's safer, better and no hassle.

Right now I just did a check and found more than 3 sellers who you can buy from, all with high order numbers and ratings.

Yeah, fortunately they did. I'll post the details later when I get home. If you guys could refer any stores that would be great.

Type in mag shoes, sort by highest orders and use those sellers.

You have probably used a seller with 0.

I've never had a single problem buying anything from aliexpress.

Sorry dude, I've bought a couple of things through Aliexpress (most recently BTTF colour Air Max 90 replicas) and they always arrived. But I guess there's still dodgy sellers without rating. Like Airair said, look for a high order number

We can all agree the NIKE and MAG on the V2s is a bit small. It is a cool detail, I wish it was bigger. So anyway after grinding mine off, building up the Heel Cup etc, I wanted larger decals for the shoes.

So I took an impression of the V2 soles then flattened it out. What happened was purely chance and very cool at the same time. The curved letters increase in size by about 10%(?) once flattened out. So today I mixed up some more aqua rubber (I know it looks green in my photo, but it is definitely not green when placed on something green) and made myself a set of testers to see if this methods will work or not. They are just super glued on and if I decide I like them, I will add some light grey rubber to the edges to better adhere them and blend them in.

My question is - are these still too high? The would be about 1/2" lower than the original placement.

Seems a tad bit high in comparison with these pictures you and jedifyfe posted.

The bottoms of the letters should just start curling under the cup.
