:$ Sorry...Since I have done the laces, these just look too cool NOT to post. :lol
Here is a side by side comparison:
$250 vs $4000
Styrene plastic.
thanks
do you have a close up of the soldering?
forgive my lack of knowledge on electronics, but im still not sure how to solder these leds.
from your picture, i can see you've hotglued all the soldered leds together?
is that correct?
Brad, is it possible to do commparison pics. from all angles, i.e. from behind, from the front, the other side, top, underneath?? No problem if it's too much hassle, these pics are great!
thanks
do you have a close up of the soldering?
hot glue is usually so they are protected usually, and dont touch other wires/ connections
I can but I would like to find photos not taken by NIKE, so that they are of true shoes and not the photoshopped production photos. I have noticed that NIKE made their promotional photos MUCH nicer that the real shoe. That is why I am trying to match my shoes to the photos taken by MAG owners.
I am currently in discussions with a UK EL supplier who is going to make some 2cm x 5cm EL panels where the tabs are in the centre/side and are wide apart so easy for us to solder to, unlike most panels that are done by machines.
Can I have those interested drop a line so I can show him how many people want to do the strap conversion? After doing my own (which are almost done!) I may look at offering to convert others.
Just to confirm, it would be a dual cr2032 with tiny 3v inverter setup with thin copper tape connecting the strap to the batteries. The strap will look just the same, nice and flat and the rear white buckle needs to be cut open more to hide the batteries and inverter. It won't be as slick as my markpoons with just one switch but will be a quick solution without spending too much ripping them apart.
Brad what size are your 1st mods and are you still selling them?
great idea
but the v2 buckle seems too thin to hide anything in it to be honest.
Even if you chisel out a little more out of the hollow square, the gap isn't big enough to place something such as a tiny inverter and a double cr2032 battery.
The v2 strap at the back doesn't pop up enough which is why its a pain to hide anything inside it!
Do you plan to cut out some more of the hollow bit inside the buckle? It seems quite close to the outer, so may have to be a bit careful when cutting some of it out.
