SO-Strong® Color Tints for Urethane Rubber, Plastic and Foam

In this page there is a video to show how you add the color.
cavx do you have an idea about sole mod?
did you try something before about this ?
thanks.
Yeah my first attempt cost lots and I ended up with one pair of clear soles for the V1 MAGs. I made flat sheeting and then cut it to size. Lots of waste.

This time around I have removed the soles, modded them and mold them. Then I will be able to make a clear cast from the mold. There is still risk of waste, but I am not rushing into this one this time. Lots of research and planning.

Right so, after about a month. Lots of hassle regarding the green LED's, unpicking seams and sowing them back up. I have finished my first shoe.
My reflection from the whole process is that I can say for sure that it was not a walk in the park. But I Have learned a lot and earned new skills. This should help me greatly when I begin the next shoe next week.

Actually no, just realized I have not flatted the laces on the logo side. What a noob....out with the iron..

Hey all, just received my mags not too long ago, I've been lurking here for a while but I have a question. The shoe builders got a little sloppy with the glue and I was wondering what would remove this SAFELY without ruining the material... thanks!

I think the work of the toes needs to be precision and minimal expertise for the same form on two shoes.
the solution is the shoemaker who can provide a good job for this delicate stage.
after, it is only my opinion.
I think the guy or as jedifyfe and others that I respect a lot for their great work, have the aprendre their error at the beginning to succeed has come out of such air mag ACCURATE!

While fans like me lol that for a 2nd pair of modification I will not adventure myself : Lol
Hello, Mr. Shoemaker ......... : D

Yeah you really want and need "Lasts" for the toe mod. Given that takes time and money, it is something many of us substituted a sock for. A "Last" is a hard shape to form the shoe shape on. The "Lasts" these shoe makers use appears to be a standard shoe or boot and why the MAG-R comes with a boot style toe.

I noticed a few had done tongue extensions and thought I would give one a go too.

I used the tongue parts from the real NIKE MAG patterns. I had already extended the top part by about 20% when I created my file in Sketch Up.

A quick test fit and maybe tomorrow, I can take these to a shoe repair place (along with the ribbon for the edging) and have them sew them up for me.
Not 100% sure how I will attach them to the shoes though.

What have others done?

nice! the height looks good but with the extra tongue on top of the existing tongue, it seems to be really stretching the elastic 'laces' - what would they be like if you only did the top part (like a pocket over the top of the tongue, to extend it) ? I plan to do that but haven't gotten the time yet.

The elastic stretches quite a bit with my foot in the shoes anyway, so I don't think that the single layer of vinyl will make a difference.

The sock idea only works for the top of the tongue because the rest of the tongue extends to the base of the shoe preventing the new tongue to slide down. I don't think that cutting the material would be a good idea.

Can someone link me to the seller everyone is using on aliexpress? I just want to make sure I go with a trustworthy seller when the time comes to get my pair

I've used Karin Chen several times now. She is quite good to deal with if you communicate with her. I read how a few people had issues, but I found her to be very good to deal with.

One tongue is done (still not permanently attached to the shoe yet). Hopefully I can get the other one done tonight.
