Update:
One shoe's sole is almost ready for molding. Tonight I was able to remove the front portion of the outer sole. I then spot tacked the soles back onto the shoe using hot glue (which is easy to remove later) before reforming the sole to give it the new shape.

Much better from the rear too. I really wanted to correct the huge step out I have on my own pair due to the way I did the insert. Having the sole off the shoe made this much easier. I hope to be able to replicate this on all the sizes I have on hand.

Next step is to workout the new "footprint" and add the pyramid matting to the base. From there I should be right to cast these in a UV stabilized water clear polyurethane.

That looks so much better than your previous insert.

Why water clear? The soles in the movie are actually what the V2s have. They are translucent not transparent.

I don't think you can get polyurethane in translucent very easily. Most of them come in water clear transparent.
There may be a supplier who does offer it though.

You are correct though, these V2 clear soles come translucent, but are obviously not UV stable as they just yellow very easily, and same with the grey soles.

Would adding some sort of white paint or dye be effective?

As soon as you glue the clear sole to the grey midsole, the whole look of the outer sole will change to a translucent whitish colour.

You can always add pigment to the clear. When I did my first clear soles, I did add a very small amount of blue and they are as clear today (pour was made almost 2 years ago now) as they were when first done.

the gradual outrigger effect looks much better. Same old thing, practice makes perfect, right?

Thanks. My set could have truned out the same if I had fully removed the rubber sole. I simply cut a slot into mine and added an insert piece. In this case, I could cut the rubber much further without the worry that it would tear.

Blue tint just keeps the clear whitish as opposed to not adding anything which is partly why these V2 soles have yellowed as fast.

Looks like the shoes have been sold already.

Ok, I was going to send them back because the bottom blue leds did not work. But they where going to cost me over $100 in shipping for USPS/DHL and would of costed me $748 with Fedex (Which is complete bull ****). Does anyone know where I could send these shoes cheap (I don't care if it takes 1 month to get there). I was looking in the price range of $50 MAX. I mean seriously the ****ing box weighs 4 pounds. If that doesnt work out I considered modding only the bottom leds (The blue ones, because mine don't work and they where brand new.)

I want to mod the bottom blue leds like I said and replace them with el sheets. I was just wondering if anyone had a video on how to replace the bottom part only. I looked around and only found the strap and green, red, yellow leds. If anyone could help out that would be awesome.

If anyone wants to buy the shoes off me for $200 I could do that or something. (Which i doubt.)

There is no tutorial for this because you can't. The EL would need it's own battery and inverter and you couldn't fit all that into the shoes with the original electronics and battery still in the shoe.

Jedifyfe is right. Its all or nothing on these. The electronics that come on them 100% will fail, whether thats immediately or after a few months. They are garbage. You have to rip them open and install everything.

I'm not surprised either once I discovered how thin the rubber beneath the battery is. After taking the outer sole completely off you can feel the battery. The rubber there must be one 0.5 to 1.0mm thick. No wonder the connections fail under the pressure of walking.

hello jedifyfe just one question, the baterie you put inside feeds all the light of the shoes,, or only the down side?? because i watched your videos and when you put lights on, down side and nike el strap is on . thank you! sorry for my english i'm french: P
