okay guys i have done some serious net working on the clear soles problem i found a molding rubber company that will remake my v2 style soles.. i upgraded the look with the outer ridge / buy buying 2, Mag v2 shoes and took apart the soles to make one / i manage to construct a model mold that is 98% dead on to the real ones we will see the finished product in 7 to 15 days do to shipping wish us luck ..this was the #1 reason why i haven't finished my pair of mags everything has to be perfect when your doing a custom build .

Omg, so does that mean, you might produce several pairs ? :')

Hi! I need help! Since today, i can't switch off my shoes! I think there is contact failure. What can i do ?

Best regards.

Could be worse. At least they work. Mine stopped 2 days after opening the box and as it turned out, the wires had snapped. At least when they run flat, you can re-charge.

Looks like they're teasing us with the hat :popcorn

I think you have a broken wire as well. I know that when I cut the wires of these shoes they sometimes turn on.

Ok, thanks a lot my friend!

Furthermore, i saw on this forum, that everybody places theirs cable below this part of the shoes. This is right ?
If i cut here, can i repair my switch link ?

Thanks guys. :cool

In my case the wires broke about an inch below both the charge port and the small push button switch. How do you know the fault is beneath the inner sole?

the faults will be at the LED wire connections or near the switch, as they are very weak.

all you need to know is that the shoes come with crappy wiring, some of the worst you will find.

stupidly designed and implemented. The actual battery though (coin cell) is solidly glued inside some plastic shell. Eventually, that coin cell will die after its been recharged multiple times, therefore rendering it useless, meaning you would have to open it up anyway eventually.

anyway, here's some pics of a recent conversion I did for someone.

WOW! They look very good. Loving that toe.
I wish I was brave enough to take to my shoes with a scalpel and some glue.

Ok, so where i must open it properly ? ;)

Wow, your recent conversion looks pretty damn good AirAir! The El in the sole is a nice shape, the toe looks slimmed correctly and the rest of the shoe looks super clean and professional. Nicely done!

Where do you buy your EL sheets from AirAir?

Thanks...

I'm curious, has anyone used their MAG's at the gym? I can only imagine all the distracted people whispering among one another and trying to get a peak at your shoes while you're doing your workout. lol

you will have to remove the grey eva inserts,
and remove that pink cardboard thats covering the battery in the sole.

I have worn mine on a motorcycle at night which is pretty funny though. People try to speed up and look. And sometimes say things to you at the red lights but I can never really make out what they say lol.

you could definitely make a pair like the iron man ones

you would need someone who can do airbrushing.
but its definitely doable.

Alright! So I have a few questions for you guys!

I know that the black/gold MAGS that began from here: http://images.freshnessmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/nike-mag-2011-elite-customs-5.jpg
Turned into another pair of replica MAGS.

I'm not expecting another pair of replica MAGS, but do you guys think it's possible to create a pair similar to these?
These Armored Nike Air Mags Were Made for Iron Man

Thanks!

Thanks a lot my friend ! :thumbsup

How can I remove that pink cardboard in the sole ? Do I have to cut a small part? :behave
I did some photos, which idea is better ?

Choice 1 ? 2 ? Or 3 ? Or other idea ?

Xacto knife just cut it out like 1 but a little longer towards the tongue. Although it doesn't matter that much as it will be covered back up by the sole.

i would basically rip all of it out.

if you are doing toe modification first, it will easily come out.

I do the toe modification first, so i can easily access the cardboard and just complete rip all of it out.
and then try and remove as much from the edges as possible.

it comes out fairly easily if you are doing it from the front of the toe after you've opened it up.

cutting out a hole isn't really advisable, as the cables from the existing wiring are running underneath it,
especially from the sides and the back of the shoe.

here's a picture of one example i did.

Modifying this shoe isn't a 1 hour job, its quite time intensive, so i would take great care and patience when modifying.

Thanks a lot my friend ! :thumbsup
