Hi! My name is Maxence, I'm french, and i've just bought a pair of AIR MAG V2.
I would like to custom it too, EL PANEL, and change the LED. Moreover, I don't want to change the switch.

I have few questions.
First, Where i can buy the laser printed NIKE cutout ? I didn't see a link.
And why add an inverter ?

Best regards. Thanks.

You have to have an inverter to run the EL. EL runs on a high frequency and the inverter creates that frequency from the electricity.
An inverter will change the power from DC (direct current) to AC (alternating current) to allow the frequency to be increased. If normal power is 50Hz (AU) or 60Hz (US), what is the frequency needed for EL?

about the no-lace nikes - nice.
You don't see many like that. I used to have a pair of runners that didnt have laces. They had a stretchy rubber webbing over your foot instead. But they were low-cut. I didnt see anything on Google based on your description though, pity.
If you ever find out what the ones you saw were, let us know :)
The ones I used to have were kind of like this, but mostly black:

I just got my shipping confirmatiin from Aliexpress for my Mags. I can't wait to receive these and do the mods.

I'm being a responsible noob and reading through this entire thread first (read pages 1-71 so far.)

What about those of us who have been along for the ride with every post on every page, we deserve some kind of credit. Haha. Some mag veterans gotta give me a like for that.

Thanks guys. As I'm conducting my reading, I have seen the tremendous amounts of contributions involving hours of research, trial & error and pure courage that EACH OF YOU have poured into this project. I literally have pages bookmarked, I have a spiral notebook with a bunch of notes scribbled, and have screen capped the really helpful diagrams/set ups I've read on here.

I really wish I could've discovered this thread earlier in the year and participated in the project during the same time as many of you; however, I'm also really grateful to participate in a time when many lessons have been learned. I still have another 40 pages to read, but it's a pretty exciting read. It's almost like a novel involving a journey that leads to a happy ending. lol And each time I see another fellow boardie post his progress or completion pics, it gets me super pumped up that one day through experience, I will be able to help a noob like me in the future achieve his Nike Air Mag dream.

It's good to see the helpful nature of this community has not changed since I went on hiatus circa 10+ years ago. It's also awesome to be back and addicted to props once again! Seriously, thank you to every single person who has made 1-1000 contributions in this thread. And special thanks to Brad for his YouTube Tutorials. That's essentially how I found my way back to the RPF. :cheers
