If someone here customizes a pair for someone else, then I'd say the person buying knows full well they are getting a modded replica and not the real shoe. If that arrangement works for them, great. I have no problem with that. I do have a problems with someone listing them on ebay hoping someone that does not know any better will buy them and pay the asking price. That is not cool.

Truth is, most people DON'T KNOW the difference between the real and replica shoe and I think it is wrong for someone to attempt to blindly rip someone off in sale like can happen on ebay.

After my last post, I went and found another pair of completely un-modded V2 MAGs for $1200 which is a disgrace.

Yesterday I wore my MAGs to a 501st gig and all the guys thought they were great. Not one commented about my shoes not having the correction or even the blue NIKE on the strap. All they knew about them is that they were the shoes from BTTF2 and the guy hosting the gig was telling everyone to check out my shoes. No mods at all and no one said anything negative about them but lots of praise.

I agree with you I think it's wrong to try to pass them off as the real deal on Ebay. Which if you don't tell people they will automatically assume they are real. But the thing is half the time the seller on Ebay ends up losing out, not the buyer. I do feel bad for people who pay crazy amounts for plain V2's though as they are really junk with no mods.

Thanks for posting those alternate sources for EL panels earlier. I have previously been buying them from elwireseller_uk (the EL comes from China) on Ebay UK and haven't been happy with the quality on the laminate on some of the EL sheets. I have given this company way too much of my money, it's time I try an alternate EL source. If you know of any others, please post them, it would help me out a ton!

are you wire glueing your EL soles as well the straps?

im normally soldering everything as the EL sheets i got have all got connection points on them, thin, but fairly strong.

$40 is good. I think I use to pay $50-$60 for an A5 sheet. You would think it would be easier to find EL sheets. I only like the cuttable tabbed sheets without the pre soldered prongs on them. It's hard to find.

Nope. The EL panels are expensive and not the easiest to work with, and the inverters are only about $5-10 each.

Yes. I don't trust the solder on the EL sheets. Wire glue is just as strong as solder but doesn't heat up. I love this stuff.

Probably half a size. I bought 9.5 and they fit good. I normally buy 10 in NIKE shoes.

What voltage are the green/yellow/red leds in the v2's? Can i just connect 2 AAA's or do i need a resistor?

I meant to say that over this weekend I'm going to take hi-res scans of the gfx on my t-shirt & print some more. I've been meaning to for ages as it seems the t-shirt is rarer than the actual Mags! I'll let you guys know when I do if you want one!

Yeah thanks for those Jedifyfe. These look like to be a really good size. The ones posted by TheNickFox last year(?) were way smaller and I didn't think they would be worth even printing up due to their small size.

I decided to take the best parts of the two yellow boxes and combine them to make one good one with double layer of foam and even found a small white box for the charger. Not perfect but will have to do. The prints will be a great addition.

Yeah, that is the catch. Hi-tops (it seems) are not as popular here as they are in the US. To most, the Magnetic Anti-Gravity logo or even the ITS ABOUT TIME tee would not mean anything. Maybe a black tee with yellow NIKE FOOTWEAR might be cool too.

^ I've been thinking of making a black Nike Footwear tee, 70% of people in my area wear Nike clothing so I doubt they'd know its bttf related. Even when I wear my 2015 jacket people ask "is that a Michael Jackson jacket?" Haha
