If someone here customizes a pair for someone else, then I'd say the person buying knows full well they are getting a modded replica and not the real shoe. If that arrangement works for them, great. I have no problem with that. I do have a problems with someone listing them on ebay hoping someone that does not know any better will buy them and pay the asking price. That is not cool.
Truth is, most people DON'T KNOW the difference between the real and replica shoe and I think it is wrong for someone to attempt to blindly rip someone off in sale like can happen on ebay.
After my last post, I went and found another pair of completely un-modded V2 MAGs for $1200 which is a disgrace.
Yesterday I wore my MAGs to a 501st gig and all the guys thought they were great. Not one commented about my shoes not having the correction or even the blue NIKE on the strap. All they knew about them is that they were the shoes from BTTF2 and the guy hosting the gig was telling everyone to check out my shoes. No mods at all and no one said anything negative about them but lots of praise.
