NIKE MAG Knockoffs

ha ha yeezybay is selling the mags for 460$. Don't believe the Hype :D

They have always been a rip off, but there excuse is that they get AAA quality, don't believe it as i have bought a pair of shoes from them before and they didn't hold there shape for more than 1 week of wearing them... they are getting these shoes from the same factories we are getting them from off all the other sites.

uGH... Whatever reseller ends up charging the most money should be awarded the new domain of jerkstore.com (I was going to wish the bubonic plague on them as well, but I'm tempering my reactions to this disturbing trend...)

Check this out!

I hope they don't think buyers are buying the crap about the wooden box as the reason to justify the BS price. $460 indeed!

On a positive note...

Still think this needs a toe mod?

Is this heat pressed?

Anyway some good shots HERE.

I know that, thanks. I am a victim of the sneaker business. But at least yeezybay is having some nice pics of the mag that you all get.

Somewhat better looking spatter pattern on the sides than the other pics, which probably means quality, coverage will vary. Toes looks better in these shots, and the Nike logo on the strap looks "puffy".

As much as I like them, the "rent is too damn high".

Can I wish they get splinters at least if they pack them in that worthless wooden crate?! :rolleyes

Ha, just got an email for sleezybay telling me I can now place an order and I replied to them with "$460?! Too much for a replica!". It will be interesting to see what they coma back with.

I got a message saying the factory has made a high price for the first batch of these shoes, which is why people are getting ripped off with crazy prices. the next batch will be under $150 because they will be mass produced.

Its because they have had so many emails and requests, they are just trying to be smart ass by jacking up prices.

They should be close to a $100 soon I was told.

Yep, it's gonna be a lottery on who will get a decent splatter pattern! Those ones in the video: below average! But that's easily rectified!

Splatter should be random. If it was uniform, you'd have every other person complaining about the pattern looking the same.

if you watch this video here from yeezybay, you can see the lights don't look very good. Nike Air Mag on Feet - YouTube

because the soles have been cut into, and leds placed inside, there is simply an uneven light distribution and the effect therefore looks a bit poor.

Also, the uppers just havien't changed enough in accuracy. They've simply reused the previous uppers, modified them slightly, and thats why it still has that Mark Poon replica look to it, since thats what it was based off originally. Its not tall enough like i said in a previous post, by at least 2 cm, possibly more.

compare them on feet to the real ones

True dat, but all the pics of the RD Mags show at least good coverage. Not a deal-breaker, though... The doubling or tripling of their initial prices is!

Makes sense that they are going to get as much as they can for these. As I said earlier, this shoe is probably the most anticipated shoe in the history of popular shoe sales. In fact I doubt they got as many emails about the specs of any other shoe as they have for these. I doubt people emailed them when the super mega fugly Yeezy came out asking for this and that as they have for the MAG. They knew months back this was a hot item and now being greedy is just pissing off the fan of the MAG shoe.

So what about all of us that prepaid? How long do we wait?

Thanks for the update. I can deal with a $100 price point, and by that point, have a better idea on the best resellers to choose, plus see what the RPFers who get them have to say about them.

Of course, if I don't get my refund from pickgoodshoes, I may just sour on the whole thing!

i took the screenshot from the yeezybay video in comparison with the 2011 release. You can see the uppers are still too short, and remind me too much of the Mark Poon replica they were based off. It seems they did a very slight change to the uppers, not even making them taller or lining it up correctly. And the uppers are still too puffy at the white outer regions.

I'm still mind boggled at how they didn't just use an EL Light and wire it up very easily.
I'm just trying to work out, how an EL could be placed on these ones, since it seems part of the soles are actually cut into, as in they are hollow with leds inside them, under your foot it seems.

What I want to see is a video showing the difference between V1 and V2 of these MAGs. I just watched the video airair posted a lin to and I am sold on that velcro under the strap. Notice the strap doesn't move or slide down at all? Very cool idea and one I will do on my scratch build. I then watch the 2nd linked video and right away you can see the strap starting to slide down.

Only thing I can think why they didn't use EL, LEDs are cheaper.

I just hope pickgoodshoes give those (including myself) there money back, as you have to wait up to three weeks for a overseas transaction and my bank told me I had to wait this time until they could think about giving me my refund.

By that time it will be 2013.. :(
