Hi Taff I am glad I got out of Expro - I was leaving for work at 6 in the morning, and not returning till 6:30 on the night, I stayed in Montrose - the pay was terrible, £198 a week - I heard that Expro was the lowest paying company at that time, which I solely believe.

I was going to order a pair of those nike mags - I just wonder though, when the company do get them in stock, will they ask for a few more $$$$`s to compensate for the rise in the price from factory.

Safest bet is order them A.S.A.P, least you know the price now and know you stand a higher chance of getting a pair then when they are officially released.

One thing i would really suggest, don't order them unless you speak to a CSR, tell them the shoe you want, size and quantity, MAKE SURE YOU ASK THIS...

As a pair i ordered on Lebronjames10,com they came back and told me "sorry pick another shoe there all sold out"

Once they confirm they have the shoe, size ect you want take a print screen of it then order, if anything did happen and they came back and said "oh sorry were sold out" you will then ask for a refund and they could tell you to "pick another shoe" with the print out stating clarification that they had the shoe when you ordered it you have that extra bit of paper to take to your bank to get your cash back.. Pay with Paypal/Mastercard (if you can) that way you have done every possible way to secure a refund.

It all sounds off putting but thats because i'm paranoid and i'm sure you will understand that dealing with these guys.

So there is a chance of the shoes going up in price once they're released? And what are the markpoon soles made out of and is it relatively easy to obtain and make? I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a pair of markpoons because once they're gone, there isn't going to be anymore, but the V2s will be around as long as people buy them.

I sadly had to get rid of my MP mags, as I needed the money to buy these V2`s - I was given the old spiel "these are a limited release, get these quick, because these wont be here long"

Your right - they will still be made whilst people are buying them, and there is interest.

As for Red's shoes...He should really be posting progress pics. Isn't that kind of the point of this forum in many ways?

Of course it is and if he wants to sell his product at the end, then he needs to show people what he is capable of doing. It builds not only interest, it also builds confidence that people will actually get something for their money and not just a broken promise. And the best way to do this is to show progress pics.

Anyone wanting to make these shoes themselves will do so. They don't need to steal "trade secretes" off a build thread because there are enough people on here to share and discuss ideas anyway.

I'll have to experiment with that then. I wish I could find pictures of it from the other side without the LEDs. And the two sides don't seem to be symmetrical.

They are not symmetrical and so you really need a make separate left and right parts. I just trim mine to be left and right, but that is not the correct way to do this.

Each Heel Cup has an outer (lights) and inner wing and the wings are different shape and size. The opposite Heel Cup is simply reversed.

Yeah. And making this pattern is harder than I thought. There just aren't enough pictures for me to make it. Does anyone know the length of the MP shoe?

Sorry sold mine. I still have a pair of V1 size 8s which measure just on 11" at the base of the sole. The MPs were only just larger than that and why I made the comment that maybe they are not true 9, rather 8.5US.

When I get my MPs, I'll measure it and convert a picture of the RD MAG side to match the ratio of the MP and mod the sides like that. I'll have to cut down and add stuff, but it will be worth it in the end result. I'm just not sure what material to use to attach to the sole. Anybody have an idea on what would work?

Here are the sides. They're both 26 cm long, but the actual length on the MP isn't known by me so I just google searched how long a size 9 shoe is and I got 26 cm. But I did round, so don't take this as official. I did a little math to get the ratios right. As you can see, there is a lot of work to be done.
