If you are wanting to correct the shape of the outer-sole, you are best to scratch build the both the mid-sole and the new clear out-sole. Otherwise, I suggest you just except that there are differences between the two and work with what you have. The MP shoes look awesome with clear soles, just not an easy project if you have a limited budget or little experience or both.

I have no idea how to scratch build a mid-sole. I wish there was someone here who sold just the sole. A really accurate one too.

If only there was just rubber sole material you could buy that is already in the general shape of a sole, but you can carve any shape into it.

Its soft (low shore hardness) urethane. You probably can just buy a block. Thick EVA would work too and what I will use when I do mine.

I change my mind then. I'll just wait for the V2s. They don't need much modification. My skills are limited in this field, and I certainly cannot make an entire shoe from scratch.

According to his "2 weeks" timeline, it should be tomorrow, the 21st of November.

Of course it is and if he wants to sell his product at the end, then he needs to show people what he is capable of doing. It builds not only interest, it also builds confidence that people will actually get something for their money and not just a broken promise. And the best way to do this is to show progress pics.

Anyone wanting to make these shoes themselves will do so. They don't need to steal "trade secretes" off a build thread because there are enough people on here to share and discuss ideas anyway.

I know. How many ways can you really make these shoes? It's not like he's some sort of alchemist turning pig manure into Nike Mags.

I'm looking forward to whatever he comes up with but this secrecy is a little strange.

It almost reminds me of this kid in junior high school who promised everyone that he'd have these Johnny 5 models with plastic and metal parts for sale. Everyday he'd come in saying he was working on the prototype. Eventually, after a LOT of nagging he comes in with this Lego Technic...thing...half taped together and falling apart as a sample of the final product. No sale. :cool

Why not challenge yourself? You might do a great job. Although, I was working on a pair of scratchbuilds but stowed them away in anticipation of the V2.

Every so often... I go on Chinese search engines like Baidu and punch in search terms like "Nike MAG wholesale" or "Nike MAG cheap" to see if there are any other references to or images of the V2s.

Unfortunately most my searches have only yielded links to stores that sell the V1s or articles about the RDs.

I found this link today ... It's the same images we've seen, but outside of the auction site taobao... This is the first time I've seen the images in a website other than TheRPF.

I know this isn't much info... But I guess I'm just desperate to hear or see more about these shoes. (I still chat with shoesbagonsale once a week to ask for an update on my order.) I thought I'd share.

Pardon the useless post... I'm just borded and hungry for more info.

Though now it's like some of us have been reduced to those conspiracy theorists, trying to scour the net for hours for slivers of info. I'm half expecting people to start posting blurry, grainy photos of people wearing mags in the woods. Or photos of strange, Mag like lights spotted in the sky.

I used a laser printable clear label sheet. I have to carefully print it twice, so the light doesn't shine through.

Not sure how accurate these are. I used IMPACT (Itallic) inn PAINT with a bit or resizing where H = 100% and V = 90% then just widened a few lines by 1 or 2 pixel widths or so.

These should be the right size for your size 11s as the strap, IMO does need to be a bit wider then 25mm for the larger sizes.

Go to a stationary shop and buy the clear printable sheets used for over head projection and you can print or photocopy directly onto them.
