NIKE MAG Knockoffs

Actually what you're looking at isn't cardboard, it's the leather on the inside of the ankle on the other side of the shoe.

See? Pure brainfart :D

Has anybody tried to fold back the material like what Caloss is on about with markpoons mags? May try something like it myself

I'm not sure if this will be possible with the MarkPoons, due to the materials or construction, but only because of my unfamiliarity with them from a hands-on perspective.

What I can say fairly confidently, is that the the clean finger holes (this is starting to sound dirty, we need a name for these things...QUICK :lol) are achieved on the Officially released shoes by using 2 pieces of the grey fabric, similar to the below (fugly) diagram:

Screenshot2012-05-29at20601AM.png

In the above, the two openings would be sewn along their edges, then flipped inside out, and the smaller pieces fed into the holes and glued down inside to be covered by the leather(ette).

This will give you the necessary clean edge AND the seam that is visible on the official Nikes on the interior of the finger hole.

PS: Obviously, the outer fabric would continue on, unlike the black lines in my diagram.

PPS: I vote that we call these "finger pulls" so we don't have to keep using the word "hole" or even worse "finger hole." :p

I'm sticking with finger hole:rolleyes

I'm tempted to just cut the seam and fold the bits of material in on themselves and glue them together. Oh btw, what glue have people used to glue the soles back to the lycra? I'm unsure what to use as a mix of super glue and epoxy resin was fine for my KMAGs. but I think the lycra will just soak it up and cause some bleed.

Not sure. When I add my clear soles, I will be (most likely) using shoe goo which comes as two types - for bonding uppers to soles and for bonding replacement soles to the existing soles.

Hi,

I want to purchase a pair of k-mag white on fashionelife.com and my Nike size is usually 8. Do you think I can take the shoes in this size or I should choose 8.5 ?
Why on there are so many pages for each pair of shoes ? Six pages for the same pair.:eek Which page should I choose ?

It seems the shoes are made in the same place so why there is such difference price between some websites ?

Thanks.

I found the 10s to be a perfect fit, but others have claimed their larger sizes are a bit small and tight. I have a pair of 8s here and they seem to be true to size.

Just make sure you get confirmation that they have stock of your shoes BEFORE you send any money. I was going through emails and found a few that reflects the other dodgy site where they say yes they have your shoes, you pay and they they email you with 'sorry out of stock". It seems in my return email that I have stated that I only wanted the MAGs and if they can not supply, I would not be sending any money. I then have another email a few days later stating they are now back in stock and would I still like my order of 1 x size 10 and 1 x size 8. After making payment, the shoes took about 5 working days to arrive.

Dude, I've ordered from these guys and they accept paypal so you're safe Nike MAG 2011, New Nike MAG 2011 Limited Edition Sneaker For Sale

I'd only order 8.5 if you're going to modify the toe, otherwise stick with 8. They seem to stick with how Nike size things so with me a 9 is a tiny bit bigger than a proper shoe 9.

Yeah I'd stick with the 8. As I said, I'm a 9 and it's an excellent fit. Think it's only the bigger sizes that have issues. Then again, could just be their feet

I bought from Fashionlife and they made me pay with Western Union and they delivered all OK. Just be sure to email them to confirm your order is packed and to get their info for WU and you should be good. There is risk with anything you buy online - even when using PayPal.

Hi

I got mine fom Fashionlife also, they delivered ok, the size I got was a UK9, and i have a few cm`s left, they are really nice and I have just ordered another type of shoe from them.

they seem very good and the prices are affordable, as stated above, its best to make sure that they have them in stock and in your desired size, then give them the western union number - anything over $80 with western union, they hit you with a £16 charge, anything under $80, its only a £6 charge -

Im really looking forward to the new type of nike mag - i cant wait.

I have wore mine in town and have had loads of people looking (i had the white pair) it makes me paranoid though, just incase they are laughing at me for being stupid or it could be them looking because they look cool.

I dont know which one it is :-\

All the best everyone, and may I say, thanks for having me on the best prop forum in the world :-D

What makes me laugh are the chavs who are diehard trainer fans yet they dont have a clue what kind of kicks you're wearing.

When I paid my order with western union. I must send immediately the MTCN, or I can wait that they send the package before ?

They need the Money Transfer Control Number to access the funds. If they do not have that, they have no money and they won't send your shoes.

hi, question for you guys who are going to put all the el lights and led's in too.

What type of LED's are best? and how long would they last?

Also, the strap that comes with the Kmags, its pvc/fake leather type, but one side of it has a small thin 1mm foam backing on it which gives it a bit of thickness.

the pvc/fake leather ive bought from the shop is very thin, and not backed by anything. So if i glue two of the sheets together like jedifyfe does in his tutorial, I think they would be thinner than the kmags one, and not as strong.

Do you guys suggest sticking some thin foam backing when creating a new strap? or is thinner better?

thanks

The foam doesn't make a sod of difference in my strap and the material is only 1mm thin per sheet, how thin is yours? If anything use some glue on a test piece to see how it holds and you'll notice this and the EL strip will give the strap some rigidity
