I've emailed the guy who made the V1 Mags btw, see if he replies. He did say that they were working on a V2 with clear soles, but he hasn't sent any pics so far. Hopefully he replies soon. I'll update everyone if he does. :thumbsup

Eh?!
He means the actual holes in the 'ears' of the shoe that you loop your fingers through to help to pull the shoe on your foot. Did everybody just brainfart for a second or something?

If he's talking about the triangular holes at either side of the upper, then no to the brainfart. It's a cardboard protector that sits inside the official Mags. :confused

I'm referring to this post. With markpoons mags the hole is cut and the material is sewn through at the end, whereas in the picture of the Nike 2011 MAGs its folded in on itself and either sewn internally or glued

joanns craft store just ask for grey speaker fabric they only have one product of speaker fabric so that should narrow it down. Just spray some water prof fabric protector on fabric then let dry presto water prof fabric for your custom mags .. The pic that CLONEPROPS¡¡¡ showed was way to dark its not what i recamended him to buy but oh well /this is very close in thread count an image to the real nike mag fabric just pm me or e mail me i will dig out my recite an give you the product number for your personal viewing

Ahhh I see, just me being a tool then. :confused
when you glue your fabric to the shell pull the fabric into the hole an it will make a deep imprint so when you cut a slit into the fabric you can pull the extra fabric around the outside walls covering it with the fabric look at the real nike mag and picture it in two parts one inner liner one outer liner inside is gutted an prep i hope you get this ...if not i will send your pics of how i did mine its dead on to the real mag pm me with you e mail or contact info my pics or on photo bucket ...http://i1165.photobucket.com/albums/q586/FirstLabel/IMAG0111.jpg http://i1165.photobucket.com/albums/q586/FirstLabel/IMAG0103.jpg

yeah, could you post up some more close up pics of how you did yours?
Also, do you have any bigger pics in clearer daylight of your build?

ps, anyone have any tips on making the silicone mold for the heel cup?
Since the heel cup has a hole in it for the LED section, I was wondering how this is done when making a two part mold.

Good luck on that, that guy hasn't responded in months! doesn't even reply!
stretch the fabric through the hole but make sure you have slack were the holes are so when you pull the fabric over the side walls to cover the foam shell make sure its done right you only have one shoot at it . when the tacky stick spray drys thats it no refunds get it ... easy way *****is to spay outer shell with super 77 tack spray then lay fabric over shell to bond [when you get to the ear part slowly manipulate the fabric through the ear whole enough to grab on other side and lay through ear hole to make look flush when finish it well look like a rip out on inner sheet but the outer shell will be flawless and flush just hide inner with 2nd inner sheet the out come looks as if you got it shipped from the nike warehouse

by the way, how is your foam piece template made?
is it the same as the way the original kmag is done? it has a stitch seam next to the inner side next to the laces.
the real mag has a similar seam line, but obviously no stitch line can be seen, its very faint.
Funny that you asked ) i took the template of the real mag its on the net plain an simple ..i took the side image blow it up to the size of my shoe and began to make a 3d paper template of the nike mag kind of like( nick fox the build up) PHOTO of the all black foam shell... the rest is up to you ;

I was referring to the finger pulls and the white back which turned out to be card and why the hole didn't go right through.
Actually what you're looking at isn't cardboard, it's the leather on the inside of the ankle on the other side of the shoe.
