well don't knock yourself down. Considering we've been doing these self builds all by hand, i'd say everyone's done a good job.

Not knocking myself, just able to have a laugh at myself because there are some things I've done since that would have ensured that project was a complete success.

If i knew 3D sfx, then it would be easier, but i have to do it the old fashioned way using homemade molds.:thumbsup

I suggest you teach yourself SketchUp. Free to down load and very easy to use. Way easier than any other CAD I've used. In the end, unless your going the 3D printing route, there will always be some hand work involved.

I typed in the URL and found the link to the 2012 MAG. It 'coming soon' and 'in stock', so which is it?

Also what is the 'red lamp' about? Don't tell us there is red LED like those blinking shoes kids have.

Sorry airair, something does not smell right here. All the images of this so called '2012 MAG' are of the 2011 NIKE MAG. None of these are new photos, so it does not prove to me that this shoe even exists yet.

A pair for the price would be amazing, but I want to see some more proof first before I get so excited to ditch my DIY MAGs.

Like you said, nobody's got any actual pictures of the replicas, but don't worry, i'm waiting on pictures from several suppliers at once so i can get a good look from all angles before I even think of placing a big order.

I'm not stupid to place an order without even seeing at least a picture of the replica.

I've never bought from that place, although it seems legitimate enough as they have a youtube account and people have bought from them before.

The proof is from the multiple wholesalers and factory owners i have spoken to.
It 100% exists. It hasn't left the factory yet, thats why there aren't any pictures yet, but in a few days or so it will be out on the wholesale market and you will see a flood of pictures.

Thats why i told you it would start to be wholesale quite quickly for pre-order.

I will be getting some pictures quite shortly before the suppliers get their hands on them.

That wholesaler on that youtube video hasn't actually got them in their hands. Thats why they don't have pictures yet, i don't see whats so hard to fathom about it. Pestering them isn't going to get you anything. They are just a middleman like everyone else.

Me though, I've actually spoken to various factory owners who i've bought from previously hundreds of times, so i've got the proof that i personally wanted from them, so i'm happy.

So if you don't want to believe, thats up to you, but they are coming very shortly like i told everyone.

you will probably see many websites selling them for different prices (depending on how greedy they usually are), between $120 to $180 I think. Some of them are going to try make a killing, even though virtually all knockoffs in China have around about the same manufacturing costs.

The supplier i'll be buying from has no website, but i've bought many times from them before, thats why they can give me it cheaper.:thumbsup

Since i usually buy multiple shoes when getting the top range models like Air Max and others, I always get a good price.:thumbsup

Your best bet is to buy it from one of these websites that will be selling them, that you can pay with a credit card or something, that way you're covered if anything dodgy happens.:thumbsup

Like i said though, until i get the pics to check the overall quality, i ain't buying anything yet.

Don't worry, you'll get a wearable pair of Mags, and won't need to pay extortionate amounts.

Nike's own greed (and Adidas and other brands) causes all knockoff shoes to get made in the far east, thats the way of life.

And we as the long term fans of these shoes deserve an affordable version which Nike were unwilling to put out, even though there is demand for them.

Not just the knock offs. The real NIKE MAG was made in Taiwan and so were the NIKE AIR PRESSURE (NIKE's most expensive shoe at the time) I owned back in 1990.

They use far east because it still cheap to get stuff made there and the more you get made, the cheaper each unit becomes. This is part of the reason why it was said that the cost of the real NIKE MAG was about $300 per pair. Only 1500 pairs were made and that is a relatively short order for something with cast parts.

Get 100,000 pairs made and see what the cost price is.

Yep, I ordered a few pair. After reading how good these guys are and all the positive reviews of how accurate other shoes are, I pulled the trigger.

Well I bought 4 pairs. It was $441 shipped, so just about $100 per pair. If they are accurate I've scored and I will order more, if not, I'll dispute the charge. Win-win.
