They are here
My V2 MAG review.
OK now that I have a pair in hand [(or should that be on my feet

] I can give these an honest review.
First up, they are well made. Sure there is the odd stitch here and there that might need a trim, or could have been sewn slightly neater. Just know that if you are planning on buying these shoes, they are a keeper.
No they are not perfect when compared the real NIKE shoe they are copies of. For that what cost, they are pretty good for replicas and certainly way better than the previous PVC version now known as the V1 MAG.
The NIKE MAG used in the film was almost a testing ground for NIKE to do something different. Some of the things these shoes introduced included clear soles (with lights) and a technique that extends the laces to the sole. What this does is prevent the sides of the shoes from bowing out. Interestingly enough, it was actually PUMA that brought this idea to the market yet this is now standard o pretty much every NIKE shoe.
It was certainly the MAG that made hi-tops popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
From the ground up.
The clear soles are not dual patterns and they are not “out rigger” style. The same ‘waffle’ pattern extending under the soles where the real NIKE MAG has a pyramid sole. The real shoe used EL where these have much cheaper LEDs. Still they do look quite good though. The rubber is clearish and looks slightly yellowish to me. Over time, the clear soles will turn yellow, so the 2011 NIKE MAG soles were tinted icy blue and look much nicer. The rubber soles seem to be quite accurate and are nicely textured. My pair also have a very well done splatter effect. Most of the images I have seen have very few streaks.
The shoe’s upper is a composite foam with cloth over the top. It is an odd combination and keeps loyal to the shoe we first saw in 1989, except for the toe box which was much flatter in the original and the 2011 release. Something I had to check was the toe profile as many early adopters of these shoes produced images showing the toes having a different shape from left and right in a pair Mine seem to be the same. So over all the uppers seem to be very well made and should last for some time. They may soil easily though and because they contain electronics, you can’t just wash them.
The uppers are made with the same two piece construction except they once again messed up the positions of the seams. The back seam should extend all the away to the cuff, yet like the earlier V1 MAG, the collar is a third part added on top. The inner seam should be between the 4 laces, yet it closer to the toe like the V1 MAG. The liner seems to be the same cloth used on the outer skin of the upper.
The elastic used on the laces and Velcro on the straps is much higher quality than the previous V1 MAG. I am not sure I like the tongue which seems a bit short and is made from cloth. The 2011 MAG tongue was made from a leatherette and was also quite short.
One thing that has been done on these shoes that neither the 1989 original or the 2011 release had is hook and loop on the collar. This is actually a good thing as it holds the strap in place and prevents it from slipping down as you walk. There are a few issues with this though. I think the hook side should have been used on the shoe and loop on the strap as the hook catches on the cloth of the tongue. I also think that this was needed on the outer side only because it makes the strap hard to secure when it can’t slide.
The only 2 things that really scream FAKE are the pull holes as they are stitched around the edge and the NIKE logo on the strap which is blue glow in the dark paint. It looks tacky and need to be replaced. What is interesting about the pull holes though is that the material is folded correctly, so I wonder if some super glue was used, could the stitching be unpicked? The cuff is made from a poly vinyl material same as on the V1 MAGs and whilst it should last, it is also quite fragile.
The heel cup is very cool with its NIKE and MAG lettering raised off the textured surface. Even though the MAG lettering is a touch small, it still makes these shoes look awesome. The clear ankle lights look pretty good too. The clear part should extend out a bit and on inspection, it seems one of the LED panels (the right shoe) has moved and the lines of LEDs do not align to the clear part.
The ankle buckle is interesting. It is close though not quite correct and is made from a flexible rubber of foam which is painted white. It seems quite strong and didn’t appear to want to break when I pulled the straps nice and tight. I have a 3D printed set of buckles that are 100% to the 2011 MAG. I’m just not sure if I am ready to mod these shoes yet. The one part that I see being an issue is the small switch on the back of the shoe. Both the charge port and switch are very flimsy and could have been done better.
The shoes came well packed inside a yellow box that looks similar to the one used to ship the 2011 MAG. Included in the box is pre-cut foam and a USB charger and cable.
