NIKE MAG Knockoffs

I'm sure you already know, but you can edit your replies into your previous posts rather than making a new one.

I was hesitant to say something, but I noted you doing this on the last page quite a bit too.

I apologize if you were already aware.

:)

I guess what he is doing is better "BUMP" to keep the thread on the front page.

:confused Yet, where is he of late? He used to practically live in this thread. Calling airair!

I was now told they (wholesalers, supplier shops) should be getting these on around the 15th /16th November.

They will probably be taking those infamous "studio" shots of the shoes on a white background like they do with all their other replicas.

Even the replica people must have the "money" shot of the shoe in a nicely lit studio.

Which makes sense if the factories' deadline was the 10th as was previously quoted.

Then I would imagie being sent around the 18th. Sigh. Hopefully true

This is just my own opinion of the some of the ankle buckle strap replicas in comparisons to the real ones.

I'm not trying to offend anyone so please don't take it the wrong way, just trying to give my own take on what I think I can see from the pictures. Maybe in person, they look better, as pictures never tell the true story anyway.

Its just my personal quest to try and explain what the accuracies/innacuracies are on these bits from various replicas. you don't have to agree with me, its just my own observations. Its mainly for us die hard fans, who pick out the smallest of details like fabrics and tiny details that nobody else would pay attention to.

I think the only way to get a nigh dead on 100% perfection would be to actually 3D scan the original part in, otherwise most replicas will be accurate in the 95% to 99% range.

Best news I had all day. Now I can sleep well knowing this will turn out all OK :)

I just bought some other nike replicas the other day, and i was told I could order them in a few days, so thats a good sign for me.

Just waiting for the final pictures. I hope they've at least fixed 1 or 2 flaws properly, but even if they haven't, i'm sure most of us will be happy to do some slight modifications.

Its great though that there are several choices now.

V2 Knockoffs

Red Aeternum replica

MP Replica

V1 Knockoffs

SO2 modified MP Replica

Clonemag Replica

and possibly more.

Good collection of images. Whilst you are critiquing, Please feel free to hammer this part :)

you know what, i've looked at countless images of the real buckles, and they have a weird sort of shape to them. They have a slightly elongated bottom, and depending on the angle you view it, it can look really different, which makes it really hard to make an exact copy

My comments are in brackets

Its great though that there are several choices now.

V2 Knockoffs [well it would be nice if we actually knew what it was we were getting here]

Red Aeternum replica [??? unknown]

MP Replica [good, shame only came in one size and approaching end of life]

V1 Knockoffs [Sure, I bought a pair but they are really crap]

SO2 modified MP Replica [One of the best MP conversions around. Love those clear soles :)]

Clonemag Replica [Are you referring to cloneprops MAG here? Possibly the best ever!]

Tell me about it. At least 6 bucks for the Vac Form and whist I think they look cool, I know they are still not right.

When you say you're waiting on final pictures, you mean the ones the wholesalers will take or you're this minute waiting on pics from the factories?

The photos with the flaws speaks for themselves.Next time put my nick near my pieces to avoid confusions. :)

Mags v1, and v2 that I see in photos is not neccesary to detail the minimun fails, is enough accurate for you? :)

Im not agree about scan , is not neccesary to scan in 3D the original to have a 100% accurate piece.

This is my concept for Mags Pedestal. The color is "old aluminium delorean" Including blue lights near the Mags sole position and BTTF logo, CGI renders soon....that is only an early concept of the design

what do you think guys?

Yeah, i'm sure someone who is proficient at sculpting could look at the pics from all angles to get the exact look, but because that ankle buckle has a weird shape to it, its a difficult task.

Your buckle is almost 98% spot on, and to a lay person, they wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but to anyone who views the pictures day in day out (yeah i know, i'm sad for viewing nike mag pictures every day!), the missing bit is the pressed pinch feel where the curves are and the almost too symmetrical feel to it. It needs to be very slightly longer at the bottom, sort of elongated like the real ones where it looks like a smile from the back profile.

If you look at the real ones, you can see the clear differences between them and every replica versions by Mark Poon, v2 knockoffs and yours.

The real original buckle I believe was hand crafted, as its not perfectly symmetrical, and has a distinct hollow pressed pinch to it if you view it from the sides and the back.

That seems to be the thing missing from your version. Then again, this is only a minor issue, the main thing is that it looks almost exact, so great job on it.

For your uppers, did you actually stitch them or glue them? its hard to tell from the pics you posted up a while back. its looking great and should look perfect on that pedestal concept you've made. that would look insane, especially once built.

regarding your display base , my thoughts are that something that a 2015 shoe store display might be like would be more suitable
