It's generally not acceptable to indirectly talk down to others (or their hard work) and expect praises in return. Personally I cant wait to see another take on the shoes youre making and I dont know you enough to dislike you. I did go back and realize some things I said might have been taken in a way that I did not mean, and apologized for that already. If I am still doing so I also apologize. I think that the way that I am thinking and the way that it is being read are two different things. This is afterall an internet forum, all you see are my words...not my emotion, expression and demeanor that I present them. Again, I am not talking down on anyones work, merely pointing out the differences in mine since the concern was raised. If I shouldn't do that then I won't...this is why I said no information until the final prototype is finished because I wanted to tackle the presentation and features all at the same time to avoid this type of confrontation between members.

Glad you like my buckle paint up, Obviously Ill actually take my time on the final shoe but no joke, Im highly considering the fett mag now since I dont see the point in having 2 similar pairs (my v1's and the v2's) and in the end I think I would feel less guilty changing my own pair into something totally unique rather than the closest replica I could afford. I just need to figure out the balance of weathering so they all work in harmony with the shoes. For the strap... I think ill have them say BOBA for the left and FETT for right. At the same time Im wondering if I should do the same for the back ankle bubbles also, replacing both NIKE's with boba and fett. For the side leds, I think I could even add his led chest barcode in a square box.

The main reason I want to tackle these (aside from the obvious) is that I have a somewhat realworld bobafett outfit. Ive got the jacket and also a scarf made to look like his cape complete with burn holes and fraying on the ends. Its a fun jacket to wear, I couldnt count the times Ive had people come up to me freaking out over my jacket or even being called boba fett! Its fun.

Lammy, you cant bash on someone for simply trying to right their wrongs and trying to move forward instead of back down hill. Give him a break, he's new here. I think its going to be neat seeing the mags made in a different way yet again!

I agree, as amusing as it is to read, we should be talking of mags! or at least bttf related things until we can get real pictures to break down and maybe even one day the actual shoes!

Do the RD MAG lights go down as the charge depletes? Each row of color would go away as it loses its charge. I think I've heard that somewhere before, but I'm not sure. That would be cool to add to a pair of Mags. Anyone know how that could be done? I'm not electrical savvy.

I also have another idea. Like when you put your foot in the shoe the lights automatically turn on, but it would also have an on/off switch like others have done so they're not on all the time and you can turn them back on.

Thanks cavx, but honestly I think that the most of mags builders like jedyfyfe and the rest, are continously posting every new upgrade, any progress,new material test, new ways of developing parts, ect. Imagine that all of people waiting to have the final work to post... With that situation nobody learns and RPF forum would not be useful to the users.

Having seen and now knowing what the Mags look like inside out from all angles, both movie and 2011 release.

Personally, so far i have seen that nobody's "replica" so far is absolute perfect and accurate (whether thats movie version or official 2011 version).

But then again, unless you are really really picky about things and absolute fine detail accuracy, I don't think it matters in the slightest.

Even Clone Props's build has some clear flaws in it.
The soles and uppers look fantastic. However, the heel cup he has done is not totally accurate, but still quite extraordinary in quality, while his white ankle buckle strap holder is not totally accurate either due to the lack of "pinched" area in the back (which is quite noticeable).
Both the RD's and movie version shoes have the exact same buckle, and confirm this.

V1 knockoffs lets not go there, absolutely wrong in every aspect, but the soles are decent enough (apart from being too high at the back) and reusable and can be salvaged to create something good.

MP shoes. Incorrect uppers and heel cup and buckle, but soles are good (apart from being too high at the back) and are the inspiration for the V1 knockoffs.

V2 knockoffs? until the final pics are in, pretty much plenty of stuff on this is incorrect, eg, sole too high at the back, visible stitching, ankle buckle too flat at back, toecap, lack of el lights, tons more, etc

Everyone is going to be happy with a certain level of accuracy with a replica. I'm personally happy with any of the replicas, because with a few customisations, you can get something unique and you can be happy because you've put your effort into it.

Jedifiyfe, CLoneprops, Lukebryncz, and SO2, cavx, Punisher and Lammy, and countless others have done great jobs in customising their replicas, whether they be Mark poon or other knockoff versions.

It will be great to have another interpreation fro Red Aeturnum, giving us some good choices for replicas, depending on each persons different budgets.

It will be good to see what the choices everyone will have soon. And hopefully everyone of us will have a nike mag to wear, which is the whole reason we love these shoes!

For the people who don't have the budget for the high end replicas like me, they will probably just mod the V2s. That's what I'm doing. With the help of cavx and possibly others, I think I can get a pretty decent replica out of them.

Thats quite a nice graphic you made! Are you planning on a gloss print or a matte/satin print?

Well said Clone! This is just getting ridiculous everyone, its like the delayed release is turning the bttf fans against one another. Why is everyone forgetting that this is also a hobby (aka, FUN, ENJOYABLE and PRODUCTIVE activity) Out of curiosity, in what way is his heel cup flawed? I personally consider it as accurate as can be considering he did it all from scratch and didnt recast an official mag.

It has gone from a comprehensive discussion to a Bttf 4chan and I have nothing to contribute in a virtual environment like this however one last time I must say thanks to brad for the Fett design. I promise to do it justice! I honestly think that was the most valuable piece I got from this thread. Ill be sure to chime in when I start the finishing process on my mags which have now gone down the path of the Fett. I also have 3 sets of custom figures Im working on also that I will be sure to create a thread soon.

I'm a bit of a fan of the Fett and why I think MAG/FETT crossover would be cool. I want to see the MAG with toe spikes and not just a colour way.

As for the EL in the strap, yeah, BOBA in one and FETT on the other would be very cool.

If you use IMPACT (italic) leaving the H @ 100% and V @ 90%, the font comes out very close to true NIKE font. You might have to adjust spacing, but you get the idea when play with this.

I think you'd want to close the gaps between B O B a bit more and might change out the A for the A from MAG. FETT looks good as is.

I've made a start on this as well except I keep getting blemishes in the pure colours. I am doing mine as a BITMAP rather than a JPEG to hopefully prevent this. I edited my yellow to be true by using R: 255, G: 255 B: 0.

Is the red number a size or the number of the shoe. In your example, it is clearly denoting the size.
