NIKE MAG Knockoffs

For your uppers, did you actually stitch them or glue them? its hard to tell from the pics you posted up a while back. its looking great and should look perfect on that pedestal concept you've made. that would look insane, especially once built.

The Mags glued is the "Stressed for testing" version for and glued all parts.Never had problems with my parts glued, even skating with them.
The final version needs to be wired before glue.im using at now a mix of differents compounds beacuse the glues actually in the market SUCK.I made a lot of test and dont stop until I have a solid/durable cohesion.Believe me that is not good idea to go outside at the street and have a problem with glued pieces...so embarrasing.:lol

About the backheel piece(I call white part),I think that all forum users be happy with that notice:

Im preparing a LOW COST piece, avoiding expensive molds. 100% ACCURATE, with all details inside and outside(for wiring, inverter, and NEW storage for AAA cell batteries rechargeables(that bateries is more cheaper), and hole for charger adapter. The material that would be finally is Teflon compound, supports highly abbrassion tests, dissolvants, and high temperatures, its a semirigid material.
The pedestal is with the same technique and CHEAPER, and would be available without painting, for customizing.Renderings and images soon.

This is my concept for Mags Pedestal. The color is "old aluminium delorean" Including blue lights near the Mags sole position and BTTF logo, CGI renders soon....that is only an early concept of the design

what do you think guys?

Wow, excellent work!!

This sounds interesting. Any time frame?

I have one Ankle Buckle that was as perfect as a Vac Form can be. Way better than anything I've done since and because it is a single part, I want to take a mold from it and produce clones of it from there.

Cavx, its modelled in 3D. The model is a NEW version, but with 3D techniques. As soon as possible.
PD:(prefer to give that answer, that the chinese "about two weeks")

I now have a pair of white mesh MAGs that actually fit with no tight spots :)

I used white mesh and navy thread because it is what I had and once I work out how to fit a tongue, laces and a cuff, I'll ready to start work on the new grey pair with colour matched thread.

After I am done with these, maybe I should theme them - Stormtrooper MAGs?

Two weeks. I now hear that scene from TOTAL RECALL playing over in my head.

Unfortunately, i'm hearing "get ready for a surpriiiiiiize.....!"

But not that good kind.

Great mesh shoes btw. I guess they'll be pretty damn cool to wear in the summer.

Apart from their weight (which is next to nothing at 42grams each) and their tensile strength (very strong) it is the ability to release heat that has been my point of interest in this material.

The challenge now is how to add the tongue and cuff without compromising this breath-ability of the mesh and not having exposed or visible stitching.

Then comes the fun of the soles...

The soles will be......? Scratch? V1's?

Heh. Sorry about the surprising comment. I'm just anxiously awaiting the 15/16th now.

Guys, just let him make his Mags. There is no reason to carry on worrying about how he will make his shoes. I agree with Red, there are only so many ways to skin a cat, so I will be interested in seeing the final product.

Now where are these damn knockoff shoes????

This. If he has to keep coming here posting page long replies trying to justify himself he won't have time to actually make them. Leave the man be.

p.s. I get first dibbs :lol

Do the RD MAG lights go down as the charge depletes? Each row of color would go away as it loses its charge. I think I've heard that somewhere before, but I'm not sure. That would be cool to add to a pair of Mags. Anyone know how that could be done? I'm not electrical savvy.

Nope, all on looking like you have an hours charge left then bam, off they go on one shoe whilst the other ones glowing so you look like a div ;)

Although they do come into play when charging them up. I guess that is what he was thinking of.

When charging, only the red lights are on and then blink every second then the green lights stay on fully when charged.

You can turn the shoes on whilst charging if you wanted them on permanent display (bad idea IMO).

Makes me wonder what the lights on the v2 will do whilst being charged. It's not that crazy to imagine they might have incorporated that feature.

Hopefully a scratch build.

Aren't we all :)

Nice one Cavx! It's great to see your work again!

I got my straps done and begin the fabric this week as well.

Thanks. Those straps look pretty hot. I'll be doing a black MAG at some point soon myself with green for THE MATRIX theme.

I would love it if the shoe made the "empty plutonium chamber" sound when almost out of power.

Sounds and lights now? Geeze, why not just work on power laces and be done with it.
