NIKE MAG Knockoffs

Such as? Go on, be the first to do power lacing.

Then I would charge more than the real Nike's. I am sure it can be done, but the cost to develop is more than I am willing to bite off, for the main fact that not many people would be willing to shell out that kind of money for the shoes.

I will disclose more information when the time is right. Will you be disappointed? Not at all.

Interesting how you say that. The ONLY thing stopping me from making a 'power laced' shoe is the size of the motor needed to drive the spool. Even the smallest ones I've looked at are too big to wear or be practical.

Besides, who says the power lace has to wind up anyway? Have no illusions, the straps on the shoes in the film didn't wind either. They were joined to a chord that was pulled through a slot cut into a ply false floor.

I have an idea for an electro magnetic clamp to replace the velcro on the Ankle Strap. Because it needs "power' to work, technically it is a "powered" lace system.

Jeeze, I could have answered your inquiry better than that.

The shoe they sold as the "2011 MAG" is the shoe now known as V1 and it came out in 2011 (hence the name) in four crap colorways.

I know about the V1s and they are still listed on their website....but Vicky knew what I meant. And yes, the movie shoe didnt have power laces either, they were pulled through the floor board. So in reality this hasnt really been done, but I am not planning to be the first. As I said, just wait about 2 weeks and all of your questions will be answered. If the Chinese release theirs and send them out first then I guess we will have a comparison between the two :thumbsup

I hope the Chinese release their shoe by the 10th to be honest.

So you say 2 weeks? That is the 21st. Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

About two weeks...not exactly two weeks. I hope the Chinese release their shoes too...I am curious what someone gets for $130 shipped. If it has all the bells and whistles, that would be a bit impressive.

So is "about" more or less than 2 weeks?

I wanna run a countdown to the reveal of what you seem to be building up to be the world's most accurate NIKE MAG replica.

So will yours be a replica of the 1989 film MAG or a 2011 MAG?

You alright buddy? Seems as though you're a bit hot and bothered under the collar there. Just because I am not like everyone else and releasing every aspect of my build doesn't mean I am not going to do what I said. About two weeks is exactly that...about two weeks. I can't give you an exact date because I simply don't know myself. I don't know why it has gotten under your skin so bad, but I do apologize. Time will tell all and reveal all.

That mechanism he uses looks cool. Does anyone one know if he took this any further? Did he actually make a prototype?

The only problem I have with his design is that, without the "power", it just comes off as a really complicated way of doing your average elasticated slip on shoe.
