I know about the V1s and they are still listed on their website....but Vicky knew what I meant. And yes, the movie shoe didnt have power laces either, they were pulled through the floor board. So in reality this hasnt really been done, but I am not planning to be the first. As I said, just wait about 2 weeks and all of your questions will be answered. If the Chinese release theirs and send them out first then I guess we will have a comparison between the two :thumbsup

Yeah, the fashion is pretty popular over here. Walking down the streets in Shibuya you see loads of stores selling hiphop stuff.

Actually, Tokyo is one place where a guy could wear a pair of mags and pretty much noone would think it odd in the least.

And the girls that dress hip hop urban are cute. Love hanging out in Tokyo.

Depending on how this turns out, I'll probably rip the soles off the leather pair and make some mods to them like cutting down the back for this pair.

Based on the animation, it has to be eleastic with a cord to work the way it shows. The intention is there, but the real world practicality is not. There is simply not enough range of motion in the lever action in this design to allow the loop that is the ankle strap to expand and contract enough to get your foot through. If the idea was applied only to the main four straps on the bridge, maybe the level action could work.

If anyone was going to make a MAG/SW themed crossover, I'd like to see a "FETT MAG"

I think it would a basic grey MAG with those climbing spikes out the front and the black ribs on the toe/bridge.

I also think a "Tabi MAG" [split toe design] would be cool as well.
