new USA made Godzilla film

Godzilla Final Wars was a mess indeed.

My son loves Final Wars. But his opinion doesn't really count, he's not yet three. :) For me, a lot of the modern films are messes, but so are some of the older ones.

This is a great sequence - even my kaiju-maniac wife loved it. Imagining a reasonably faithful remake of Godzilla done this way...squee! If only.

or we can just leave Godzilla movies for the Japanese to make
I vote for this.

I also agree that someone should come up with something original. Make a new creature. Then, this new creature can fight Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, Gamera, Mecha-Streisand, King Kong, Frankenzilla, 60-foot She Beast, giant gay vampires, medically altered werewolves, any kind of zombie, giant angry sea creatures.... the list goes on and on.

Godzilla looked good, but everything else I could live without. The over the top anger (the fists made me laugh) and the hair standing up...what was that:lol

I will hold out for a US version, just hopefully more traditional then the last one.

Even though it was a dream sequence and over the top, it had EMOTION! That didn't make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck? Something the American Gozi movie had absolutely none of.

...That didn't make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck? ...

BUT his hair on his head stands up in that moment like a cartoon person with a finger in a light socket - that fills me with nothing but eye rolling and laughter.
Electric moving hair aside It is just over the top, comes across as bad acting emotion, not any real emotion to me.
But that is just me, if he lost the Pokemon hairdo moment I could live with the dramatics in order to see a good Godzilla.

Wasn't that supposed to be him going 'Super Saiyan', like in Dragonball? Tight fists, angry yelling, and hair on end.

"Final Wars" was fun in sort of an overblown, "Wrestlemania" kind of way- gotta love the real Godzilla chucking the American Godzilla into Sydney Opera House! (joke on the American godzilla's back fins)

Also, that big guy who played the captain was a first class scenery chewer of the old school! :lol

Maybe, I have no idea - I just want a straight forward Godzilla film about a monster, no Dragon Ball Z characters or cartoon powers needed. :cool

yes the winston design was beautiful, he acutally looked tough and had a personality to the face. The thing is in Japan godzilla or the suit is more like an actor than a movie prop. Godzilla "stars" in these movies.

If they do a reboot i want a new graphics carbon copy of the original 1954 Gojira. No made in modern day time, still keep it in 1954. The clip from Always 2 posted above is better than the entire US godzilla, minus the dragon ball Z ending lol

***** ****ing ******, it's a ****ing dream sequence in a movie.

Geez no reason to get worked up about it (deep breaths...deep breaths) and what does that matter if it is a dream or not - dumb is dumb - I don't have Dagon Ball Z hair in my dreams either:lol

I had a dream about a Godzilla attack once. He rose up out of an amusement park of all things.
We ran down the city streets far away, but then saw his dorsal fins flashing and glowing and it was like ....ohhhhhh sh*****t! we knew what was next.
So we got off the street and ran between buildings and zig zagged between as many as we could so the blast would hopefully get deflected and not get us.
I remember feeling the heat on my back and woke up at that point.
Scary but effing cool! LOL

WOW! dUDE, i'm not even joking here - I had almost the EXACT same dream when I was a kid. No amusement park but the same thing about running from Godzilla and the heat on my back. Weird.

That's kind of cool looking. I like the "dragon" look to the face, with it being slimmed down a bit.
