New Tron Theatrical Trailer

The face deaging looks great, but i really hope they fix that "head wobble" thingy that goes on when he moves. Did anyone else catch that?

I don't know, the whole thing looks too clean. They are supposed to be in a computer world, so let's make them just a tad more digital?

Yes, it sucked. Granted its a clip to build frenzy for the movie, but I dont care for the graphics since I saw the first teaser trailer. The aesthetic doesn't appeal to me. I certainly hope the bridges we see is just the rough, otherwise its all Polar Express to me = lame.

Computers today can generate images like Avatar. So why wouldn't the new Tron world be more photorealistic? Think of the old Tron world as being rendered by an Atari 2600. :lol

Yeah that and some of his lip movement were all that stood out to me.

I know, I know, but it just doesn't feel right.

Yeah, I thought the same when I saw the first trailer, but this time I am kind of convinced that it might work. A little abstraction couldn´t have hurt, but I am pretty sure that they went through quite some design phases, and I really hope they did a few tests to decide on the photorealistic look. By the way, in the old one only the environment, the vehicles and the props looked artificial, the humans weren´t that much different from what we see now ;)

I remember seeing the trailers for Avatar and thinking, "Man that CGI is horrible." Then the actual release CGI was good. I hope this is the case. If they can get Brad Pitts face near perfect in B. Button Im sure this will be the same quality....hopefully.

Ahhhh......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..AHHHHHH! Whoosh!

Sorry I was in my bunk!

I CANNOT WAIT!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!

This is a good decade to be alive!!!

I'm sure they are still in post which means things will be fixed! I'm not worried!

I thought some of the de-aging did stand out a little bit to me. It's that kind of thing where I don't know what it is that isn't quite perfect for me, it just doesn't look exactly right.

That said, I'm still super-psyched about the movie. I love the look, the cgi and all. I'm going to guess that they'll improve the de-aging some before the movie comes out.

I say, show the trailer to someone who has never seen the first Tron. Don't tell them anything...just show it to them. Afterwards, ask if anything stood out as wrong. If they say no, well, there's the answer. I think we are noticing things because we KNOW that Jeff Bridges IS old now and they would HAVE to make him younger (like in X-Men 2).
