New Tomenosuke Blaster Pro "Retail" version

I'm a huge fan and I've built a lot of PKD kits...never had a Tomenosuke so I'm pretty darn excited!!! Sorry you missed out...hope you find s kind soul who won't gouge you too bad!! I was surprised to hear that they were only selling such a small amount in the USA ?! The Marishun cap firing version is supposedly very nice for under $800.00 they are available right now too I think...? I'll try to find the link for you...theirs is very nice and I believe metal as well...

Id appreciate that very much. Thanks

Hmm, guess there's been a minor factory update: http://tenshu53.exblog.jp/20168847/

I have an assembled one from Cinemaquette. So ... What does this mean exactly? They are going to be shipping out a replacement part with tools and instructions? I have no idea how to do that, that's why I paid a grand to have one professionally assembled. Is this an easy fix? What exactly is a grip end? Is that the butt plate? So everyone is getting one eventually regardless of distributor you bought from?

Kinda confused by this. Thanx.

It just means you'll be receiving a new butt plate with an Alan wrench...it's two screws my friend I think you can handle it!! Hey...you get a free butt plate in case the other is ever damaged!?!

Oh okay. Lol. :)

Man, they are crazy perfectionist aren't they? I think the butt plate looks awesome what's wrong with it!? Lol.

I think its cool that they are willing to send out the updated part...most companies would just shrug it off and hope no one noticed...cheers to Tomenosuke... great customer satisfaction!!!

Not much really wrong with the butt plate. From what I can see with the one I received, the paint job was not properly centred.... there is an uneven width showing of metal edge around the black painted area of the bottom of the butt plate. I am guessing that this is their issue...not sure. Not really fussed myself....like Darth said...still get a free butt plate as spare or for other PKD gun projects.:)

Pretty cool video. Interesting how different manufacturers finish the guns their own way. I'm new to the blaster fever, but there's a lot of cool looking features on the gun that are purely aesthetic, right? A bolt type lever on a revolver? The green LEDs never light up either? Never saw them lit in the movie. Two triggers? Very nice workmanship on this thing. Whoever was lucky enough to get one is going to have a hard time putting it down for a while.

Exactly right, lots of nonsensical aesthetic features and people have lots of fun trying to explain how it all was supposed to work. What it did was convey a familiar sense of the old film noir detective's trusty revolver, with a twist of future tech we don't understand but it all looks like it belongs there. That is the brilliance of the prop.
Green LEDs are pretty much thought to never have been functional during the film. Some say there is a slight green glow at times but I think that is just the LEDs catching some light.
Hell the red LEDs seemed to not work properly at times.

Found these pictures of a silver version. Is this one old or something new?

The guys at Propsummit said it was a one off for the head honcho at Tomemosuke. You could do one of these out of a Coyle kit pretty easy.
