New Tomenosuke Blaster Pro "Retail" version

Got mine as well, I see what they meant by the butt plate not being painted right, they masked it off a bit wrong, but it's hardly noticeable. Very sexy piece.
The ammo had some tarnish marks, but nothing that Flitz Polishing Paste couldn't take care of.

I have owned one of the previous Pro's, and I prefer this one because I'm an as first built kinda guy.

Also, THERE"S A HOLE FOR WIRING THE GREEN LED'S IN THE BARREL ROD!

Is it easier to change the weaver knob to the slotted screw?
I seem to remember having to do a little disassembly on the first one.

Wow....2000 BIN on that? I'm curious what the reserve is too.. To each thier own but this kind of stuff irritates me. I personally can't stand when people buy limited items to flip them for profit. Taking something from someone they love and would really enjoy to gouge the hell out of it lol.

If you missed out on this run I would avoid paying someone an outrageous mark up like that listed and see if another run happens.

Re: New Tomenosuke Blaster Pro "Retail" version

Yep...that's a bit much in my opinion...Two Grand!!! Yikes!?!

when I got my kit I missed the original sale so I definitely paid a premium for it when I bought it. I'm happy that I didn't have to sell a kidney for it though.

That guy has every right to sell it and for what he wants but I just have issue with the motive and I hope any potential buyer does the homework.

It's no reserve.
I'm browsing it thru the app and it shows me .99 (reserve not met)

New to the RPF. I agree.

Again, I'm new to the RPF and am happy to see all this Blade Runner discussion. Need some advise? This Tomenosuke Retailer is pretty amazing to say the least, but this flat black finish is confusing to me. If the goal was to get as close as possible to the original prop, why this paint job? Is it possible to fix this on the assembled version or is it even worth tackling when so much money is at stake. I'm aware there is a kit version that will also be released, but am liking the idea of making the best of the assembled version. Is anyone planning on making this leap with the 'Retailer'? And how would you go about it if you were?
Cheers you blaster fans.
And I'm glad to be here.

Contacted Hollywood Collectibles (LA) this am and they indicated they are just now aware of butt plate offset painting issue.

They indicated they will address the issue as well, they are just awaiting the logistics of the replacement part.

Seems to me,( from the images) that they chose a simple "new look" finish that is easier to apply. Prob a quick tumble, vapor blast, dip process to get an even, clean new look.
should be no problem to scuff the finish down with 0000 steel wool if it's not clear coated, and the dull finish suggests it's not.

If dipped, the inner surfaces should be colored as well.
Maybe an adventurous member can disassemble it and test the scuffing on an unseen inner surface?

should also be strip able and refinishable too.

Anyone know if the butt plate polished and painted or plated?

im wondering about the finishes on the kit. Is it raw or finished and just needs assembly?
I am hoping raw!

Kpax...the kits are unfinished I'm pretty sure which is why I ordered one!? If it is finished rest assured I will strip that lifeless grey finish off the receiver and add a metal barrel to improve it a bit...I really do not like the assembled models look personally...but the design looks awesome!

I agree and will do the same.

Is anyone planning a steel barrel run?

If not, Dave at DEC will do them. I already asked him and if no one else is already planning to he will if there is interest.
