New Tomenosuke Blaster Pro "Retail" version

Ooops!? The above is a Takagi...not Tomenosuke... sorry...I'll repost with the correct blaster comparison... sorry!?

Compared to that picture, to my eye, I think the first Tomen was probably a little too shiny and the new one is a little too flat. I own both.
But it is to me a black gun. Though the trigger guard should not be as black as the current Tomen.

I believe that Tomenosuke was at the release of this item at the auction in question so perhaps they used the look here for the new release model?! They look pretty close to me?!

Yeah and he and Rich shared info. The Tom. is really an idealized version whereas Rich's is screen accurate. But the receiver was 100% not blued.

Yep...Rich and I have discussed this on the phone at great length...Rich's model IS more screen accurate but the Tomenosuke is a lot less flawed since it is machines not hand cast! I like all the varying versions and always look forward to new interpretations of the blaster!!!

here's a better look at the two with the right blaster....

The Tom is still too dark. Look at both those photos of the prop as it was delivered from the prop master. The second picture shows how light the receiver really was.

I agree...it's pretty darn good though I think?

Yeah, looks great, even Rich acknowledges the Tom as a "perfect" version of what that gun would look like if it were a real weapon and not a prop. I am trying to post a pic of my Coyle V5.1 but can't drag files on my iPad from my photo library so you can see the difference.

I believe these are photos of the blaster the day it was delivered to the Profiles in History auction!? I got them from Rich's photobucket page!

It's still different from the latest tomenosuke since it's smooth with the bluing stripped.

I never understood the serial #? It should match his badge number I always thought?! Anyone know the numerical reference?! I'm baffled...

Those photos are the day it was delivered to the Profiles in Hollywood Auction after filming I believe?? At least that's what it says on Rich's photo bucket account?

Here are the more compelling screen grabs from Rich..

Shiny Blued gun.

Indisputably shiny and blued in the above pic. No way you get that intense white highlight with a dull finish. If that where bare steel it would be much much brighter.
