New to RPF - Catwoman costume project

I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, but my boss and I do custom leather gear, so if you want to get that belt 100% SA let me know.

Does your leather come from China? I know thats a odd question. I have my personal reasons.

You could probably take them to a boot shop and have the heel replaced with a thicker one. Most shoe shops will replace souls.

I am not sure if my area has anything like that. Would be a good thing to research today being I am at work for 16 hours

I happened to find this...

Its missing one of the buckles. But since it has one, I figure you could mold it or replicate it to add too it...or just order 2 pairs. And it its practically the same buckle design even.

holy cow! they are expensive!

I found a couple pairs of biker gloves on Ebay. When I find more I will post pictures. I still prefer some gloves with the buckles on them

These are the only ones I found on Ebay that I liked. The rest were too masculine looking.

If you're going with the DC vs. Mortal Kombat version of the suit, you could just concentrate on finding gloves (ignoring the buckles) that you like-- and then add the straps/buckles afterward. This way, it'll also give you an opportunity to place the straps exactly where you want, and also match the existing buckles on boots. Matching the buckles is a small thing, but it'll help to bring the leather parts of the costume together nicely. (They seem to be simple D-shaped buckles anyway, so they really shouldn't be too difficult to find/match.)

my deal is I am slightly doplic when it comes to putting things together...even if its a buckle on a glove :cry

Our leather comes from the US, we only use the best stuff. Also, we can match the buckle and the ones on the gloves for you and send them over as well if you'd like.

Great costume idea...but i'll say, you'll have a pretty funny day wearing that (talk from experience).

I am not good at making my own costumes

You shouldnt stop trying..you'll only get better if you step on it and try : )
You'll probably save a lot of time and money as well at some point...and such a great victory, finally doing it with your own hand!!

That's true, learning how to sew really opens up doors in costuming. I'm glad I finally started learning. The one downside is that now every time I see a cool jacket in a movie I decide I need to make it. The list is getting pretty long.

I fear that would happen to me as well. I am a artist...and I have OCD so it takes me FOREVER to draw or paint something because I am constantly critiquing myself.

They skin the animals alive. I saw a video. Its sickening. I am not against leather or meat and what not like most people percieve. If you would of seen what I saw on that video maybe you would understand. I usually get responses like this when I share my beliefs.

However I am not here to discuss my beliefs. It just ends badly.
