New Star Trek TOS Phaser coming November 2014

Am I seeing this correctly in the pics above :confused ; the 3 ribs from nozzle to under the p1 wrap around to the front of the p2 and end at the nozzle itself :wacko

ok it's not me, it is the way the light hits it :facepalm

I charged up my P1, annnnnd it's broken.

The thing has a rattle that I hoped was connected to the motion controls, but it does not function.

Phooey. Customer service contacted, awaiting instructions.

I got mine...the only question is how to afford ten more for my Galileo phaser locker!!! It will be mine...oh yes, it will!!!

I bet they "trash them" right into their bags and head out the door for home. I'm RMA'ing one of mine simply because the nozzle won't extend/retract.

Shame. with a little epoxy and other things thrown In. you could get mighty close to hero prop. hell I would pay full price for three broken one's..

I got a return label today, and put down on their original form that came in the box from ST.com to replace it with another. I think the intermittent P2 problem may be that the P1 just wasn't seated well on the pins, but I do want a new one for the scrapes in the P1 metal edge and the splotch of whatever it is on the P1 left side. Otherwise, it was an impressive replica and I can't wait to get the replacement so I can play with it some more! :lol

I got mine in the post today and love, love, love it. I was worried the thin handle/powerpack would bother me, but it really is not
very noticeable. However the light up selector gauge on the P1 bothers the **** out of me! Did they have to put LEDs there?
There is also a few minor scratches on the P2 that bug me a little bit. I'm kind of picky about that stuff. Overall I'm very happy
with it.

Has anyone had to recharge yet? I've been working this thing pretty hard since last Friday and it's still going strong.

Another observation (probably obvious to everyone but me), the handle has a large tab and a small tab, that fit into a large slot and a small slot on the PII. It fits both ways but doesn't sit exactly flat if you get it backwards.

Duh :rolleyes

MR used to have an eBay account for RMA'ed and factory damaged stuff. I doubt the Wand Co. would do the same but it would be nice to have a bunch of seconds and parts on hand.

I wonder how many charge cycles the battery can last or simply over the years it fails to take a charge?

I sent them an Email. asking if they would part with any of the broken one's for a price. but I'm not very good at communication skills. so I doubt I will get a reply..

Thanks to Richard from the Wand Company for contacting me and saving me from shipping my phaser back. As much as it embarasses me to admit, it was my fault.
