New Star Trek TOS Phaser coming November 2014

Hi Lost in Trek :)

How much will it cost for you to do the same upgrades to my Wand Phaser?

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

I'm honored but I don't really offer a build up service. If I did the amount I would charge would be more than the phaser itself.

Love seeing that pic time and time again, evlares! You're well on your way to having a full weapons locker's worth of Phasers :D

Thanks, and I hope you and your wife are feeling better, cause i NEED more of your locker build pics!!!!Tim

I got mine a couple weeks ago and just feels awesome in your hand. Great object for the money.

My only gripe is the ten turn knob. Looks cheap compared to everything else.

Although the 10 turn looks a little like plastic because of the finish it really is made of metal. The missing step on the bottom of the ten turn throws the look off a little. This was the top item on my list to change.

I was hanging out with Mike Bergeron this evening and while inspecting one of my defective phasers, the muzzle literally fell apart. Allowed us a great opportunity to see how the muzzle pieces fit together. I would never have taken it apart myself (thanks Mike, LOL) but took advantage and snapped some shots for anyone who's curious. Seriously funny how the muzzle literally fell apart into all of its separate pieces. All the pics I snapped are here. http://s300.photobucket.com/user/ca...S Phaser Remote - Muzzle Pieces?sort=3&page=1

Cool pictures. The key to taking it apart is making sure the emitter is retracted all the way.

After I dropped my phaser and broke the internal tab of the emitter tip, I absolutely could not get that forward ring off. One half (upper or lower) would pop off then when I'd try the other side, the first would snap back. I gave up and will just keep the tip pulled all the way out.

The loose pieces fit back together quite easily with a few twists here and there. Seems like it doesn't even need any gluing. It's kind of cool.

This is seriously interesting! :) Can't wait to see who's gonna work up the yarbles to take that pistol body apart. Won't be me. I had mine removed precisely to prevent that sort of thing. :p

Don't the fins come off like the AA/DST phaser does? It uses some sort of plastic on metal clip system, so there might be damage if it is pulled off.
