Hey everyone! My name is Muhtasim and I discovered this site from this great costume maker called Frontier Costuming. Someone mentioned this site as the place where he bought some really nice looking spiderman man frames from TJack. I'm very glad that I found this website because the amount of content on here is amazing!! :D

Howdy all,

Been browsing this forum for a while but only just started posting. I love anything Star Wars, Dredd... well, pretty much anything sci fi lol. I love to build and paint for both myself and others so if you reuire any help or commisions give me a shout :)

Hello all. Long time lurker, first time join-er. I've been costuming and convention going for years but most of my efforts don't compare to what I've seen in this forum so I decided to join, learn from the masters, and start my first pep build. It will be Stormtrooper helmet/armor and I should start a thread soon to document progress and ask questions.
Thanks for having me!

Hello everyone,
my Name is Sandra and I'm from Western Germany. And at first: Sorry for my english :$

For this year's carnival I wanted to dress up as Loki. My biggest problem was the helmet. I had no idea how I should realize that. Then I discovered this forum and I was thrilled what's possible! Thanks to numerous posts I've found the right instruction and started crafting.

It was fun and after finishing I decided to make more Replicas and Costumes of my favorite heroes, movies and Series (Marvel especially MCU, Star Wars, Game of Thrones and Nintendo). Thank you for all the great ideas and Manuals!

For my first try I'm satisfied :)

Hello to the RPF community !
I found about this website at random while I was looking for props regarding video games.
You can find some pretty cool stuff here so it looks like I just found the right place. I'm always eager to see talented designers bringing ideas to life.
As for me, I do love video games and I'm primarily looking at those models, but super hero are kind of cool too...
My main focus is on gaming and what gaming can bring at a higher level, a sense of understanding, a great storytelling medium, heck, even an educational tool !

Hello,

Stumbled upon this site a year ago when looking for some guides to pepakura.

I'm brand new to prop/costume design, but I majored in Industrial Design so it's not completely foreign to me. I'm looking forward to being more involved to learn more and support the community.

Bonjour!

My name is Cindy, from Montréal, in Cosplay since many years. I always been interested in costume and everything, went to theater school to make costumes and decors.
I am a construction painter, love to work with my hand. I lost a bit of interest in MAKING costume since the budget couldn't allow me to do so, but now I am back on road and more into it than ever!

Thanks a LOT to Thorssoli and Hasenbrau, they are the ones that inspired me to become a member of this awesome community. I can't wait to learn more from you guys!!!! :)

Hello

I am Ernie, a 47 yrs old kid ;) that love cosplay stuff. I landed on this forum while looking to make an Iron Man helmet (seems like no one sells the Mark 42 anymore, tried twice and receive the Marvel Comics helmet) This is new to me and I hope I can get vast knowledge on this as my goal is to make an Iron Man suit for this coming Halloween. Thank you for having such a great community.

heyo, i`m kinda new here, although not so new to cosplaying, i`ve been doing that since about 2010, and have won a couple local competitions here and there. basically i`m here because i wanna learn new techniques, especially in regards to mechanical parts of costumes, like things more advanced than simple hinges and axels.

G'day,
I'm Mitch from Australia. I have been around for a little while but never property introduced myself. I'm interested in prop firearms and starship modelling. Love anything with Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood or james bond. I have a fair dinkum M38 Sherman tank scope to build a storm trooper blaster and would love to get a DL44 Hahn Solo blaster.

hello… I researched and made a screen accurate Timey Wimey Detector as seen in the Doctor Who episode called "Blink". I should show it off for all of you.

Hey, I'm Takanuva. I've had a long-term want to build custom props/costumes/cosplay since I was 8 or 9, and only recently in the past few years have I had the resources/adeptness to attempt it myself, somewhat successfully. I'm a big video game/Marvel/Star Wars fan, and found out about this site from VolpinProps on Instructables and Adam Savage on Tested, watching him build his 1 day Bladerunner pistol. For my first semi-ok project last year, I dressed up as Star Lord, sewed the jacket with my mom's help, cut and sewed the gold foam panels myself (forgive the inaccuracies), and glued the mask together from a PDF I got here and coated in PVA and foam before painting it. It looks horrendous, but I've learned a lot from it and have started several much better Pepakura masks to work on. Sorry about the shirt, this was an impromptu picture I took for another forum.

This is my current WIP, a copy of the Kanohi Avokhii, a powerful elemental mask from the Bionicle series. As far as I can tell, I might be the first person to post on on here, given how obscure Bionicle is. It's also where my username and profile picture came from, as that's the name of the warrior who wields the mask in story. I got the PDFs, and a whole lot of other ones from Crunchysforge on Bzpower.com, a Bionicle forum site.I mazy have messed up a few spots on the tabs as my printer was low on ink at first, but this is coming out far better.

Re: The Official New User Introduction Thread

Morning all,

Greeting from darkest Zummerzet, "Black Shed Labs" is kinda my thing, backyard engineering, bodgery, 3d printing and general mayhem are always on the agenda.

My main area of interest is ROGUE TROOPER, because AFAIK nobody in the UK has ever been seen at a con dressed so. My other thing is making props, I've only just started with this after a break of 30 odd years from model making, so please bear with......

The other thing I'm doing at the moment is building up props for a mate of mine who's into DREDD (Not the awful Stallone abomination, but the original 200AD/ DreddD) now here's the thing... does anyone out there have/is willing to share any 3D designs for a Lawgiver MK1... I'm happy to 3D print any props in return (as long as it fits my printer (180cm3).

Anyhoo got to be getting on.

Peace out

Bill

Hey everyone! :)
I'm Rose from Germany (so sometimes my English is a little weird :'D).
My main interest are MCU props and costumes, but I don't own many props or replicas because I just recently started doing Non-Anime Cosplays. At the moment I'm not really on the crafting- but more on the sewing-side of costume making, but I hope this will change some time soon - that's why I decided to become a member in this awesome forum.
I'm also totally into make-up (not only in the "I like to paint my lips"-way ;D) and maybe this will be something where I can help someone, who has no plan of this topic, with their first tries.

Hi all!

My name is Paul and currently live in Jersey. I'm a member of the 501st but I love all manner of costume and props and am constantly absolutely amazed with what I've seen people produce. I look forward to interaction and learning from some of the build threads and maybe make a purchase or two assuming I can convince the wife that it's a necessary purchase (aren't they all necessary?? I think so!)

Hey guys and gals,
I'm Jeff, a Army Officer (with a dubious background in Fine Art) currently stationed in San Diego for a teaching assignment. I have four energetic children who love cosplay, and it gives me a legitimate excuse for my wife for why I HAVE TO MAKE TOYS AND PROPS. Right now we are into Star Wars props and that's how I found this site. Me and my 7 year old made suits of Mandalorian Armor to go see TFA in theaters. Now we want to make EVERYTHING! A bit ambitious, but it will be fun to work on some of our favorite props, and y'all seem to be spectacular at research and sharing good criticism. I look forward to following people's work and posting some of ours. Right now we are building LPA NN-14 blasters and look forward to being a part of that discussion.

Cheers!
