Then there's the Quasimodo II ESB. It's another tremendous example that has that ESB 'look' I'm after. Being a designer/photographer, I'm liking the handcrafted fan-made helmets more and more. It's a labor of love I truly appreciate, it's nearly impossible to overlook that notion. I also love some of the proceeds go to disabled SW fan - something I'd love to be a part of.

So... that's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL

Welcome aboard! I appreciate the generous remarks towards my Quasimodo Vader helmet. The gal we try to help weeps a little each time some money enters her life - that the kindness of many incredible fans like you moves you to embark with us upon this endeavor. :thumbsup

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to introduce myself. I work in the film industry as a property master, assistant prop master, Armourer etc. I've always loved making my own props and buying replicas and screen used. Hope to have a blast here.

Hey there!

I'm Rowan and my dad is floating around here somewhere under the Dredd forums, but we're starting to put together TFA x-wing pilot cosplays!
I've been cosplaying for a few years now but nothing majorly prop-heavy, so this is a good place for me to look for advice etc :)

Hey guys,

My names Jake, I've been building props for a few years, getting more into it now. I'm going to school to be a film maker so building is a hobby for me along with art. I'm excited to learn and participate in the community here as I have heard only great things about it. I've been a fan of Tested and Adam savage for years so I followed his instructions and joined therpf. I sell my art on my etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/VideogamesAndArt and I'll be posting images of my prop work in the next few days.

Thanks!

Hello everyone!

My name is Ziza and I'm extremely new to this crazy world of prop making. I originally learned about this community from thd9791 and watching him build all of his props over the past few months and listening to all of his explanations and theories has been so awesome that I've decided to give it a try myself! I'm currently starting to do research and gather materials for Leia's ROTJ blaster. I'm also interested in video game props and cosplay!

I look forward to learning and creating a bunch of new things! :)

Hello everyone! I'm Mike; I used to build models and paint miniatures back in the 70s and 80s and thought I'd work on something new again. Things have sure changed over the years. Look forward to scouring the forums for those little details.

Reposting my hello since I haven't posted in nearly a year!! So... Hello! <3
Just finished a pumpkinhead keyblade from Kingdom Hearts, and my next build is Jhin's mask from League of Legends :)

Hi folks. I'm really new to all of this. I'm a tattoo artist by trade but I've wanted to start making cool stuff for years. I'm starting out with a few simple things and have a ton of questions.

First one is.....if I wanted to make a simple spherical mold, can a silicone ice sphere maker work instead of making a cast? Or will I have to make a mold?

Hello!!! I am completely new to The RPF. I have been working in theatre for a few years doing scenic/props and stage management. I currently work in Florida! I have quickly become obsessed with this website!

Hello everyone I am a new member of this forum, my name is Alessandro, I apologize for my English incorrect, I help with a translator, I write from Italy, I recently discovered this interesting forum, and I saw such beautiful objects made starting from paper, are a fan of Star Wars but also of other science fiction movies, I'd like to realize some of Star Wars costumes, to start I would try to make the Darth Vader helmet.
My problem is I have a Mac and not a PC I have no way of opening .mdb files, can anyone help me to find a solution, for example by transforming the file in .pdf format or compatible with Mac?
I sincerely hope in your help because I have not yet found a solution to this problem!
Many thanks to anyone who can help me:)

Hi all,

I am Daniel, but I'm know in some part of the Galaxy by Dhanen, or just Dan Solo. I am about to be frozen in carbonite thanks to a traition of a bald friend I like to call Baldo Calrisian (clever, isn't it?). I am here in search for help to do better my very own replica of me in carbonite. Nice to meet you all.

Hello everyone!

I'm Heather and I joined this community because I was interested in participating more in forums that are related to what I love. The film industry has always been my passion; horror specifically and I am currently a professional Graphic Designer in Los Angeles. Although I love what I do, I'm trying to transition into what I actually went to school and studied for, which is 3D modeling (I want to be creating creatures in film.) For this community though, I was really interested in having a place to show my adventures through teaching myself traditional sculpting, or special effects makeup/mask making specifically. I recently bought the materials to start making my own masks and busts and thought this would be the perfect place to show my progress and get helpful feedback. I'm sure most of the stuff I'll be posting will be horror/creature related, but I definitely plan on commenting in all of the other threads as well; just can't get enough of the film industry!
