I am so glad I found this form. I love movies and everything connected with them. I have always been interested in props and costumes but have had no idea how or where to look for other people that also had in interest in movies and props. I am so glad to be here. I am just here to learn from everyone else. Thanks for having me.

Hi there!
Just a quick hello from the Netherlands. I'm kind of a geek, I love Star Trek, Star Wars, played World of Warcraft to bits and The Elder Scrolls Skyrim a lot. I've been wanting to explore my creative side for a while, thought about costuming but couldn't decide on what I wanted to make. Kept on reading, and found this forum and the 405th, and found Pepakura. What a wonderful invention! I've started my first project, the Dragon Skull from Skyrim, from Zombiegrimm's pep files. I'm almost done with the pep build, and oh my goodness, it's a bit bigger than I was expecting! :) Love it though. Haven't decided on what to do with it after the paper build is done, I guess some experimenting with fiberglass, rondo and what have you is going to take place. But I'm gonna keep on reading here and learning lots! Thanks for reading :)

Greetings and Salutations everyone.

I thought it was time that I introduce myself. I am fairly new to the prop building hobby but have many plans in the works now. Starting small and working my way to more complex projects. My first projects will be small items like Harvey Dent's coin, Harley Quinn's Pop gun, A Hellraiser Puzzlebox, and things like that. once I tackle those with success, I will be looking to more complex projects.. I look forward to learning from many of you.

Hi, my name is Juan José, I'm from Chile and I've member for a few years, but I've never had enough time to build props or costumes since I have other hobbies which are kinda expensive and time consuming too. Well, due to lack of interest I just quit one of those hobbies and I realized that now I can start making props and costumes like I wanted to, sooo, that's my story.

Hello RPF...my name is PayDay, I used to be a rapper in Texas, but now I am just a married dad of 3 BEAUTIFUL little girls. I always have loved Halloween and dressing up. Last year I dressed up as Sloth from The Goonies. Next Halloween I plan to go as Freddy Krueger from Nightmare On Elm Street. I pretty much have my entire costume together for that already.

Hi all,

I'm Edward O'Connor and have been a lurker here for a while. I found this site from lots and lots of Trek TOS prop searches and research. I am obsessed with all things TOS. From the fan made episodes to props, to signed memorabilia. I've also learned a great deal from many of you with regard to licensed props and professional prop makers. I'm really, really pumped to be a part of this community and to partake in the collected wisdom you offer! Thanks - Edward

Hey everyone, I've just joined RPF today, although I've read quite a few threads before for inspiration and such.

My name is Brendan, I live in Australia and I love movie costumes and props. I'm only just getting into building now, so I'm very new and inexperienced.

I like this community a lot and am excited to be an active part of it from now on.

I'm putting together my first WIP post now so look out for that!

Thanks everyone, I look forward to chatting with people and learning about building costumes and props from the masters!

Brendan

Hi Brian here from ireland, Star Wars nut, I haven't built models since a long time ago and a galaxy far far away (sorry , I had to ) but lately I heard about the new hasbro large scale millennium falcon and family kris kindle was lucky this year , so I have started making it more accurate and hopefully learn some new techniques . Things have changed a lot in modelling since I last did it, back then I could dry brush with the best of them , and had only started air brushing. Hoping to contribute something to the forum, and so far I have loved the forum members posts for enthusiasm and generosity .

Greetings! I'm TK27500 and a member of the 501st. I'm coming here hoping to help out my squad and build a Vader. I'm also really into the Marvel universe and see there are way too many tempting things to buy! I'm looking forward to interacting more with this newly discovered community and hopefully get further along with my build as well.

Tim

Morning all!

I am a 15 year-old boy living in the Philippines who have a hobby in creating things. I soon will have my birthday in January 17 for those who have plans in giving away free stuff.. :)

I currently don't have any projects but I want to experience the best of the best while I'm here in RPF. I've heard that things are awesome here and decided to check it out.

Anyway, thanks for having me here RPF.

Hey everyone,

My name is Kevin and I've been a member here for a while. I stumbled across this site while browsing around looking at movie props. I'm just now starting out prop building, or I should say I plan on starting as soon as my house gets fixed. Had a fire about a month ago and everything in the garage burned so I'll have to wait for it to get fixed and pick up a new laser cutter, and I'm thinking about getting a 3D printer as well. Look forward to getting to know everyone.

Hey guys,

I'm Kai im new here iv stumbled across this site a few times on the hunt for peps and found some rather interesting threads so i thought id take the plunge and join instead of float about like a ghost reading ha ha i'm still sort of new to making replicas of things and until a few months ago never tried my hand with silicon molds and slush casting with resin and such but now im getting the jist of it i'm sure ill learn a ton more just lurking about here so i look forward to picking peoples brain and having a good convocation with like minded people.

Hey Guys and Gals!

I've always been a huge fan of the costuming and cosplaying and I've always wanted to put together my own costume (not sure what I'm going to do first but I've already got a red lightsaber) and I figured it was about time I got started. I've heard lots of great things about this site from Adam Savage he seems to mention it a lot on his podcast on tested.com. Hoping to get some inspiration and advice from all you talented folks!
