Hi guys,
Im new here and I find it quite difficult so apologies if I post the wrong thing in the wrong place. I'm a Jurassic Park collector mostly. I

Looking for the Stan Winston Stegosaurus maquette from the lost world. Very hard to find!

Hello, Everyone!

I'm Karrah and I also go by the name Vod. I live in the States, Virginia to be more specific :)
I'm a long time artist and crafter. I've been drawing all my life and more 'professionally' crafting just the past few years.
I am still very new to the whole Cosplay thing, but I do own what some of you might know as 'Fursuits'(My avatar is actually one of my personal suits I own!).
I've dabbled in a little bit of everything to be honest with you, but I'm looking to expand my knowledge and further my crafting skills.

I found this site a long time ago, but only recently decided to join and partake in the forums! I hope to learn many things from all of you and I hope I can be of help too! :)

Hey y'all!

I'm David, live in Atlanta, and am currently in full swing costume prep for Dragon*Con. I cosplayed once or twice ten years ago, but it was completely off the shelf bought. This is the first time I'm building anything. I've done digital design and woodworking previously, but this is the first time I'm jumping into prop making (specifically, props for my Star Lord costume).

Been looking through posts on this site for a while - finally decided to come out of hiding. Can't wait to get more involved.

Hi folks,

I'm a Brit living in Wellington, NZ, and looking for somewhere a bit more movie/sci-fi focused for some of my modelling projects. I don't do props (although I love looking at them) but I make models and paint minis and that kind of thing. I've been doing general plastic modelling for about three years, and was into model railways for a few years prior to that.

The last thing I built was the Moebius Viper from the original Battlestar Galactica:

Look forward to posting some builds here!

Cheers,

Will

Hi RPF'ers

I'm located in Perth, Australia, and I've just printed out my first pep files to build a Dredd 3D helmet (and hopefully the rest of the uniform) before con-season here in Perth in 2015. I'm loving the amazing builds here, and I'm already looking at other projects like sculpting and model-making. Fingers crossed the mate of mine I sold all of my sci-fi model kits to eight years ago will sell them back to me :cry

Look for my WIP thread soon.

Dan aka Fragasaurus

Been reading for a whole now, getting ideas for different things, usually Batman related, decided to finally join and participate in a thread about The Dark Knight Returns/Batman v Superman armored Batsuit, since I'm currently working on one myself. I really just do this for Halloween (and because it's fun) because I'm in Nebraska, and there's not a lot else to do it for.

Hello eveyone,

I'm Nicole. I'd classify myself as an amateur costume and prop maker, but I'm really interested in learning more and growing. I mainly work right now with leather and resins primarily.
Right now I am looking into resources for making Ironman armour pieces for a Hallowe'en costume. It's definitely one of my favourite times of the year.
I love working with my hand and I do not know what else to say.
I'm sure you've heard it all before, since there are many like-minded people here.

Thanks for reading!

Hello everyone.

Been following a few threads here for awhile. Just finished up my first ever helmet build.

I'm Zach and I am brand new to this. I figured I had nothing better to do with my time and I go to enough conventions, I want to start having cool costumes.

Please allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Dan and I was looking for information on how to build the Bride of Frankenstein model by Moebius models. I found that and much more. I find this to be the premier site for what I was looking for. Thanks for letting me join on and also, I hope to learn alot and make a few new friends in the process.

Hey guys, I'm Minion. I'm a cosplayer from Toronto, Canada. I've been cosplaying as a hobby for just about 10 years now. For the most part my focus has been on sewing anime/ cartoon and video game costumes, but I've made a lot of paper-mache/cardboard/duct tape props including a giant boomerang, shields, swords, masks, etc.

Recently I decided to up my game and get into heat shaping EVA foam and using resin/Bondo to build a helmet. I picked a fairly easy character to start with and I'm making steady progress. I'm building Peppercat's armour from the Medabots anime. ( http://www.pageresource.com/wallpapers/wallpaper/medabots-paradijs-achtergrond-peppercat_83112.jpg )

Through google I keep coming back to tutorials and tips on these forums so I made an account. Looking forward to being a part of the community and learning from you guys.

Hello,

I'm Alex. I've been lurking through here for about a month now and decided to join. I consider myself an overall crafty person (sewing, drawing, book binding, sculpting, paper mache, some leather work). I had heard about pepakura here and there for some time, but never really looked into it until recently. I've always enjoying the thought of being able to fabricate costumes and props, whether it's for myself or someone else. I'm hoping that I'll be able to complete my first large costume piece for myself by the end of the year at the latest. :)

I can't lurk anymore!

Hey everyone, I hope to add some costumes or insight to this page very soon!
You are all so creative and amazing at what you do!

Hey everyone, Centech checking in.

I'm putting together a Rick Deckard costume for NY Comic Con in October.. it will be my first (somewhat) serious cosplay attempt. Looking forward to learning a lot from the forum and sharing my work when I actually have anything to show.

Re: >> New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! <<

Hey i'm also in Florida, been here almost 2 years (moved from england) and i'm new to this forum too :D
Doctor Sith I am looking at starting at Florida cons in the not too distant future, have a couple of friends in state who do them as well. Also, am involved in Barfleet who may be making a trip across the pond in the future. We should all cooperate on something down the road. My first actual (what I consider it anyhow) cosplay con will be dragon going to do 3-4 costumes ... Ash from army of darkness, Raleigh from pacific rim (soft costume because my EVA work isn't top notch, yet) and captain america WWII bucky rescue. Some other sin the works but hey I just gots two hands

WIPs in progress and will post in the near future

Greetings.
I use the name Mithosphere with several account on the internet. I have a background in musical instrument repair and currently custom design instruments. My prop history is rather limited, though as a child, my mother often made new costumes each Halloween, I can remember two that stood out - Todd McFarlane's SPAWN and Nintendo's Toadstool from Mario Kart 64 (it had a three foot diameter foam mushroom cap).

Hi,

My name is A.J. and I've been collecting, modifying and making replica props every once in a while since about the early 1990s. I even have a few minor screen-used props. I'm mostly interested in futuristic Science Fiction style items (blinky lights and bleepy sounds, whee!) and most of what I have so far is from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The item that has currently revived my interest is the prop from hell, the Quantum Leap "rotten pile of gummi bears" season 3+ handlink, which has so often failed to materialize out of many attempts by people here to make an accurate replica. Look for my next posts for additional details...

Hi, I'm David. I'm a filmmaker. This site looked very interesting and can really help me with costume building. I've been reading some of the posts here and you guys seem like cool people. I hope I can help out in this community.
