Hey gang! Been a huge fan of RPF for the past couple years and I've just recently started to get to work on suit building. I'm currently working on the final touches on my ASM1 zentai, mostly need puff paint and shoes, and making my ASM2 suit. Glad to be on board!

Lurker for the past year, decided to join when the urge to create something hit me.

Looking forward to learning a bunch of new stuff and techniques.

Hi ya'll, I'm Aaron and I have been Cosplaying for about four years now. I've used the RPF for a while now to get references for building props and costumes. Now I think im ready to tackle some bigger projects and would like to get the advice from other people!

Hi all, I've been building props for about a year now. I'm 36 years old and live in Belgium. I mainly build props for Halloween and cosplay. Right now I'm working on a horror movie prop (won't tell what it is yet :), I'll post pictures of this later on in the prop forum.

Hey guys, just like to say a big hello from the North East of England (UK).

I've followed RPF on Facebook for a little while but thought it's about time I registered on the forum.

I do pro costuming for charity for a number of groups where screen accuracy is a must. Costumes are predominantly Star Wars canon & non-cannon based characters from the SW universe (Sith, Stormtrooper, BikerScout) but I also branch out into Marvel (I own a War Machine 1.0 suit).

I've been toying with the idea of getting into prop building as I make & mod costume items for the above. I've just started looking into Pep and have gathered the tools to make a start.

I'll be looking for simple projects (perhaps flat body armour parts like a chest plate) to get a feel for using cardboard & foam before I even consider moving onto fibre glass and other more complex materials.

Catch you on the boards ;)

Hello everyone, I knew this forum by searching how to eye contours of AMS 2.
I love everything that there is in it. that's great, glad to be here.

hi! i'm a new member, my name is Rai and I'm from Indonesia. I'm a beginner foam-based low cost cosplayer. I'm always interested in western heroes /or comic book characters/shows/games. I'd normally cosplaying tokusatsu (Japanese super heroes) but seeing how I love American costumes, I thought I'd give it a go. I stumbled upon this forum a couple weeks ago while searching for western cosplay community. enough chatty chatty, Hi! nice to meet you all.

Hello! I enjoy making costumes and attending conventions. Although I am just getting started, I look forward to learning and sharing. I live in Lansing MI and work at a hospital as an ED nurse.

There are some awesome projects here! I am surprised at the level of intricacy and detail involved in some of these projects. Movie quality replicas made on the cheap!

Thank you for allowing me to join!

Hello all! I'm Danni and I'm from Rhode Island in the US. I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to join. I've been making props for a couple years, but not too often so I still have a lot to learn! I got into prop making when a friend decided to do a Star Wars group for Halloween, and I couldn't find a Boba Fett costume I liked. I thought I'd just make it and went for it full steam ahead; ever since I've always had to make my own stuff. My focuses are Star Wars, Marvel, and World of Warcraft.

I decided to finally join because everyone here has such incredible skill; the projects I always see are unbelievable. I'm aspiring to the same level of craftsmanship I see from everyone on here! I look forward to chatting with everyone :)

Hey guys, I'm Matt from New York. I've been wanting to get into propmaking and cosplay for some time now, but never had the time or money or anything like that. I now find myself as an adult with a job and the tools I never thought I'd have but would always need to do the things I wanted to do. I've checked out RPF a few times in the past, but I figured now was the time to actually register and maybe get to work on a few projects.

I think what I want to make the most is helmets. I freakin love helmets, man. Kamen Rider helmets, Sentai helmets, Comic book helmets (Star Lord and Nova come to mind), just freakin love helmets.

Hello. I'm Doctor Sith. New member, long time lurker. My main interest is with star wars helmets. Made my first one almost a year ago, it was boba fett but it turned out too small and i gave it away. now i'm back and just recently pepped a Fett at the right size for my height, also just did a scout trooper and a royal guard. Fett is resined and glassed and i'm just waiting til payday so i can go buy more supplies to carry on with the others. for the future i hope to make a red ranger helmet, an optimus prime, a custom mando helmet of my own design, he-mans sword, the buster sword, and i'm sure many others. Anyway i'm a pretty chilled out person and i get along with most people so i look forward to sharing my progress here and learning more along the way. Thanks for reading :)

Re: >> New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! <<

Hello all,
I am a newbie cosplayer located in Florida, USA. I have been lurking for a while and am amazed at the work I have seen here. Right now I am hoping to do several cosplays at Dragoncon this year. Hopefully I won't muck them up too badly. I may be posting WIP in the future any advice you have is both needed and appreciated. Thanks and looking forward to enjoying this hobby with you all

Hey i'm also in Florida, been here almost 2 years (moved from england) and i'm new to this forum too :D

Hi there. So I joined back in April, mainly as a lurker. I've been an amateur cosplayer for nearly a decade. I heard about RPF years ago when I was putting together an Indiana Jones costume with help from Club Obi-Wan forums, but it's been long since I forgot my login credentials, and the email I registered with is unfortunately out of commission. Anyway, been really inspired reading all the threads of everyone's costume replicas and props. I don't think I'd ever put together anything that would actually sell, but definitely inspired to put together something to wear for conventions. Currently, looking at various threads to put together a CW Arrow costume along with making improvements to my Winter Soldier cosplay. Thanks for having me, and best regards!

Hi guys I'm Jack, I'm from the UK. I've been cosplaying properly for about two years and in the last six months have started making more props. Currently I'm working on a black widow costume commission, a legolas cosplay and a winter soldier cosplay, and the props I'm working on are Loki's sword Gram, a dancing Groot, all of Legolas's weapons from The Hobbit, and hopefully soon I will start making a Starlord helmet.

Hello,

I'm Almar and i live in The Netherlands. I'm just starting with prop/costume building,
I found this site while searching for Warhammer costumes.

I know i'm going to learn a lot from this site!

hey there,
I have been on the site many-a-times for inspiration or to just see what people have been able to build, but since i have started building my own Iron Man Mark 39 suit i really want to show people what i can do. other than building suits, i also like to tinker with cars and well... just about everything else lol. one of my favorite things being carbon fiber part fabrication which i hope to bring into this build! hope y'all like what is to come.

Hi,

Based in central London, I've been a lurker for some time, Recently tried my hand at an actual prop rather than just the usual craft stuff I do and totally enjoyed it. Inspired by posts here my ultimate ambition would be a full size Space marine armour (the full 8 - 9 foot ones!). Currently limited by cost, availablility if material here in the UK (as opposed to the US) and lack of talent.... but one day, one day.

Hi everyone, I'm from Sydney, Australia and I've decided to make the brave step into going into the world of cosplaying! My interests include mostly geeky things like Comics, Movies and TV shows. I've seen this forum around a few times when I felt I needed help in putting together costumes and in the end I decided to join. Currently I'm interested in putting together Season 1 Rick Grimes and my own Batman costume which is a mix of other Batsuits. If anyone could direct me to all the right places it would be much appreciated! :)
