Hello... My name is Haylee. I am currently in grade nine and in DRAMA. I found this website while looking for blueprints for a female halo spartan as that's what I'm being for comicon... Knowing I'm in drama an will be working back stage I looked at this sight and said... "This one website would be a wonderful backup if I need any prop ideas for this years play." (this years play involves a lot of worriers of both genders & has a lot of different kinds of guns & weapons) I signed up and well here I am. ^.^

Hey there,

Mike here, just your typical 40 year old mid life wanna be....Bwahaa ha ha ha.. I'm getting ready to head to my 1st CON here in Seattle and I've been wanting to attend one since I was a kid. Anyway, long story short I joined to help me get ideas for my Scarlet Spider suit. So far so good, I'll start posting pic from my build and a thread as soon as I can.
Oh did I mention I was an Autobot in my previous life......

Hi !

I joined on your forum which I know for a very long time, I am French, I do not write very well, but I wanted to make you discover the work which I make with my husband. We are fascinated and we are also collectors. Thank you for your welcome in your community.

Thanks !! :)

Hi everyone !

My names Dylan and im from london in the UK.

I've been massively into the SCIFI Genre since i can remember (it all started with star wars ofcourse !) and ive recently gained an interest in prop building and cosplay.

Ive Just ordered 2 resin Blaster Kits the: DL44 HAN SOLO ANH PROP BLASTER KIT and the

STORMTROOPER E-11 COMPLETE ANH BLASTER KIT i discovered this site while looking for the paint schemes and plans for a scope mount for the E-11, it seems like a great source for reference material with a community of very experienced makers, so it seemed silly not to join !

Im also a huge firefly fan and would like to make The lassiter from the episode trash So if anyone has any info or would like to work together on creating a screen accurate model of the lassiter please get in touch !

So thats enough from me !

Bye all !

Hello! Andy from Indiana here. Just joined the forum after purchasing the Mark 1 Arc Reactor kit from ThrowingChicken. For the past few years I have been collecting various Iron Man and Batman related statues, Hot Toys figures, and other Batman/Iron Man memorobilia. However I am running out of space for said items (not to mention it gets a liiiiittle stale just collecting figures) and have been looking for a way to accent the room further with pieces more directly related to my films of interest.

I am currently working on a Nolan Batman grapple gun replica (resin kit, PAIN to work with, but its been fun). I was tooling around on eBay after selling several statues from my collection and got interested in an arc reactor replica. After much internet searching I found the awesome kit on Etsy sold by ThrowingChicken here and purchased it. The plan is to make the "Proof that tony Stark has a Heart" gift from Pepper, as I am sure many others have done. Can't wait to get started!

Hello everyone, I'm Dontae. I have an interest in all kinds of art. I'm not an artist myself but I love art.

Hey guys! My name is Nicky and I love to craft. I'm a big fan of sci-fi, horror, fantasy, anime, gaming..oh, and devouring books. I'm currently hooked on the Warhammer 40k lore. I've lurked on this site (as a guest, of course) on/off for a few years. I enjoy dressing up and doing fx makeup. I do have to grudgingly admit that I haven't really expanded on the fx skills I learned in high school, and that was a while ago. I decided last year that I wanted to eventually build a badass suit of Space Marine armor for myself. I really want some lightning claws too! I'm hoping to start that in-depth build sometime before this year is out. What else? I make stained glass pieces based on my interests. I'm currently working on a 3d Stormtrooper helmet. Trying to figure out how to go about making that got me looking at pep work. Figured pep forms or super simplified polygon models would translate really well into geometric glass builds. We'll see if I can teach myself enough about Blender/Pepakura Designer.. Guess that's it for now. See you guys around!

Hello to all here. Its been along time for me to get back into this "hobby" of Star Wars. But now that I have alot of "issues" workout in my life I hope that finally soon this year I can mark off being a member of the 501st on my list.I look forward to sharing the projects I work on here that will hopefully lead me to having a approved outfit/armor.I will try not to "burn up" the fourm with a ton of questions.
Until then take care

Hi Everyone. My name is Justin and I'm from Michigan. I have been visiting the RPF for the last few months and decided it was time to join this awesome community. My main interests are film and gaming, no specific genre. I'm also into music, cars, design and architecture. And I love building things! I'm currently starting my first Captain America Shield. I plan to make more of an interpretation than a screen accurate. We'll see how it goes... Looking forward to being part of the RPF!

Hello everyone

I'm Charlie, from Cancun, Mexico. I just joined this amazing community and hope to contribute in the future with my own projects.

Have a great day!

Hello to all! I'm happy to be a new member of the RPF and look forward to learning from all the folks here. I have been checking out many of your builds over the last week and everything I've seen has been stellar, so kudos to all of you. I have been wanting to get into prop/costume making for some time and was doing research on the like when I ran across this site.
I am based in Pennsylvania and am a giant nerd about most things sci-fi and fantasy. Video games, books, movies, card and board games, you name it and I'm sure I like it. Gears of War, Star Wars, Star Trek, and the list goes on. I have done a few projects myself using my limited experience and knowledge, and I hope to gain more from your minds. One project I'm proud of is I build a "Containment Capsule" for a Replica "Potion" from Final Fantasy 7. I will post some pics from the build with finished outcome.
Things that I would like to build in the future, or work with in general: Gears of War Cog Armor, Links shield from Legend of Zelda. I'm courious about EVA foam armor crafting, hence the Gears suit, Vacuforming and Vacuformers, and just about anything.
Talk to you guys soon! Thanks again for all the help I have gleaned from viewing your post already!

Hi all,

I am Sebastien, early 40's from Canada.

I am new to this pep thing with two objective :

First make a few costumes for my kids ( 5 and 7 )...they love to dress up and play.

Second, I want to attend my first Comic-con in September with my beautiful girlfriend and want both of us to look great !

Been looking at MANY youtube videos and reading plenty about the process.

My main interest is foam ( EVA ).

Thank you all in advance for your help.

Decided to introduce my self here.
Been doing some prop building since I was a young kidand saw a certain film around
'77.(now 42 and still a kid).
Got into leatherworking about 10 years ago due to being a fan guy in a brown hat and a whip. Also learned how to make the hat too.
Now trying to learn how to make mando armor, some interesting weaponry, and a costume thats out
of my nightmares.
Starting to think I might have a problem but found the right place
to be.

Hello there! I'm AJ— I never really considered making my own props or costumes until last year, when— after finding a demo on how to do a Power Ranger helmet— decided on a whim to do an entire costume. I learned a heck of a lot in the process and found it amazingly fulfilling, even more so when I got to show it off at Alamo City Comic Con!

Since then I've been poking around online, trying to learn more. I was especially interested in trying to do Spider-Man or Spider-Girl, which led me to finding pics of one of Lunaman's projects, which led me here— and I feel very lucky to have found this site, too. Especially since it's educated me about the design theft going on on other sites before I inadvertently bought anything from them. Anyhow, I'm excited to be here, and I'll probably post some pics of my one costume a little later. :)

Hello! I'm from Atlanta and have been doing models since I was in 1st grade. I fell in love with the Weta ray guns, and decided I would like to do a few ray guns of my own. I found this board through google, and have been reading it all day. I decided to join, based on how great everyone seems here. Thank you for having me!

Hi! I'm from Alberta, Canada. I have been creeping the RPF for probably 5 months now, just recently decided to create an account. I love the work all of you have done and I aspire to one day be half as good as you guys. I have finished pepping an iron man mk42 helmet, chest and I am halfway done the back, and I have also pepped a guy man helmet/gloves and am hoping to start a Thomas suit as well. I don't have the resources in college to resin/glass/bondo the parts yet. That'll come soon.
